On October 26, Mr. Le Quang Toan - Chairman of the Hung Yen Provincial Federation of Labor said that currently, the Provincial Federation of Labor manages 1,639 grassroots unions with 172,473 union members.
Implementing the guidance of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Provincial Confederation of Labor issued Guidelines for implementing the organization of "Union Meals" in 2024 to all levels of trade unions in the province; as a result, 127 grassroots trade unions organized with 34,427 beneficiaries, with a total amount of money spent from all levels of trade unions being over 2.2 billion VND.
Implementing the direction of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Committee and the Provincial Flood and Storm Prevention Command, the Standing Committee of the Hung Yen Provincial Federation of Labor issued an official dispatch directing all levels of trade unions to deploy flood and storm prevention and overcoming the consequences of storm No. 3; grasp the production and business situation and summarize the units, enterprises and workers affected by storm No. 3 - Yagi. Through the synthesis from all levels of trade unions, there were no union members, employees and workers who suffered accidents, serious injuries or went missing due to the impact of the storm.
The Provincial Federation of Labor mobilized and received necessities from units and enterprises. The Golden Heart Social Charity Fund organized and donated them to people and kindergartens in some flooded areas in Khoai Chau and Tien Lu districts and Hung Yen city;
The Provincial Federation of Labor organized a visit to present gifts to union members and workers at 3 units actively overcoming the consequences of the storm with an amount of 30 million VND and some necessities mobilized from units and enterprises (Urban Environment Joint Stock Company, Provincial KTCTTL Company, Hung Yen City Traffic Department); supported funding to buy breeding cows to give to households in difficult circumstances in 2024 with an amount of 20 million VND.
Implementing the direction of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Provincial Confederation of Labor organized for cadres, union members and workers to participate in the Conference of meeting voters in Kim Dong and Phu Cu districts to collect opinions and recommendations of union members and workers on the draft revised Trade Union Law being considered and approved by the 15th National Assembly at the 8th session. On this occasion, the Provincial Confederation of Labor presented gifts to 100 workers in difficult circumstances with the amount of 100 million VND (each gift worth 1 million VND).
Implementing the Law on Democracy at the Grassroots Level, trade unions at all levels have proactively and actively advised Party committees to lead, coordinate with authorities and professional colleagues to direct and guide the implementation of democratic regulations, organize conferences for civil servants, public employees, labor unions, and dialogue conferences between. As a result, 100% of units organized conferences for civil servants and public employees; 478 enterprises organized conferences for workers (reaching 60.8%); there were 480 periodic dialogues at 342 enterprises...
