On October 3 and 4, the Kien Giang Provincial Federation of Labor organized a training course on legal policies, emulation and rewards, propaganda, and office work in 2024. 85 participants learned a lot of useful and practical content directly related to the activities of the Union.
Ms. Trang Thi Bich Ngoc - Vice President of the Kien Giang Provincial Federation of Labor - said that 2024 is the second year that trade unions at all levels in the province will implement the resolution of the 13th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union and the resolution of the 11th Congress of the Kien Giang Provincial Trade Union, term 2023-2028.
With the goal of continuing to innovate the content and methods of Trade Union activities at all levels, focusing on digital transformation in Trade Union activities; promoting the development of union members, establishing grassroots trade unions in non-state enterprises; building a team of Trade Union officials with intelligence, courage, enthusiasm, responsibility, prestige and good working methods.
Innovate the content and methods of propaganda, mobilization, and gathering of workers, improve political capacity, educational level, professional skills, industrial style, labor discipline, and legal awareness of union members and workers, and build harmonious, stable, and progressive labor relations in enterprises...
To achieve the set goals and tasks, the Standing Committee of the Labor Federation determined that it is necessary to strengthen the training and professional development of the Union staff, especially the full-time Union staff and newly elected and supplemented grassroots Union staff after the Union Congresses at all levels. In order to improve the professional qualifications, skills and methods of Union activities, to meet the requirements of tasks in the new situation.
After the Congress of Trade Unions at all levels, many new policies and regulations on Trade Union work are being studied, completed and issued by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. Trade Unions at all levels in the province have the task of specifying and implementing them. Therefore, the training course has 3 main contents that need to be focused on and it also closely follows the practical requirements in each locality at present, Ms. Ngoc said.
Regarding policy, law and labor relations, implementing the Law on Democracy at the Grassroots Level; providing professional guidance to union officials to participate in building and implementing democratic regulations in agencies, units, enterprises and activities of the People's Inspectorate. Especially in negotiation skills, collective bargaining, signing collective labor agreements; participating in dispute resolution, labor dispute mediation; providing legal advice to union members and workers.
Vice President of the Provincial Federation of Labor Trang Thi Bich Ngoc emphasized: “The contents of the training are important issues, with many new regulations that need to be studied, absorbed, and mastered. The trainees, when absorbed, will be very helpful in practical activities in the locality and unit.”
In addition, unclear and inadequate issues in the practical activities of the locality and unit, especially issues related to the activities of the People's Inspectorate; the recognition of "Cultural Unit"; emulation and rewards... students can also share and present to discuss, agree and effectively apply them to practical work with the reporter. Thereby, there are solutions to remove difficulties, obstacles and inadequacies in the implementation process.
