The event was attended by Mr. Nguyen Van De - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Kha Van Tam - Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor, representatives of the Provincial Party Committee and full-time union officials of the entire system.
With the theme "Focusing on developing union members; participating in building a clean and strong Party", in the first 6 months of the year, out of 20 targets assigned by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Nghe An Trade Union had 5 targets exceeding, 5 targets nearly 100% complete, 4 targets close to achievement and 6 targets are continuing to be implemented to complete by the end of the year.
The work of caring for and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers continues to achieve many important results.
"Workers' Month" in 2025 is implemented with the theme "Vietnamese working class: pioneering in entering a new era", focusing on the grassroots, creating a strong spread. As a result, 358 grassroots trade unions enterprises organized response activities, exceeding 145% of the target assigned by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
Many outstanding activities took place such as the launching ceremony of Workers' Month with an impressive folk dance performance by 1,000 workers, attracting more than 50,000 union members to participate in flag-raising activities, singing the National Anthem at enterprises, etc.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Van De - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee acknowledged the positive results of Nghe An Trade Union at all levels in the past time. At the same time, he requested that union officials continue to promote those good results in the streamlining revolution, striving for digital transformation in the new era.
On this occasion, the conference presented the Emulation Flag of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee to the Finance Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor; Awarded the Emulation Flag of the Provincial Federation of Labor to 8 collectives; Awarded Certificates of Merit to 10 collectives and 13 individuals with outstanding achievements in "Workers' Month" in 2025.
At the conference, Nghe An Provincial Federation of Labor announced the decision to stop the activities of the Trade Unions of Provincial Party Agencies, Provincial People's Committee Trade Unions, Education Trade Unions, Southeast Economic Zone Trade Unions, and end the activities of the Labor Federations of districts, cities, and towns under the Provincial Federation of Labor from July 1, 2025.
Concluding the conference, Mr. Kha Van Tam - Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor assessed that in the first 6 months of the year, trade union activities had many advantages but also faced many difficulties and challenges. However, the team of union officials continued to maintain their spirit and achieved many impressive results.
The head of the Provincial Federation of Labor requested that in the last 6 months of the year, it is necessary to soon stabilize the organization, continue to care for and support union members and workers. In which, focusing on strengthening the development of union members, establishing grassroots unions with the motto that wherever there are enterprises, there are unions, focusing on the informal sector.
