On June 24, Lam Dong Provincial Federation of Labor announced that the unit had just held an Executive Committee meeting to decide on many important contents related to trade union organization and activities in the coming time.
At the conference, Chairman of the Hoang Lien Provincial Federation of Labor said that the unit had announced the decision to end the activities of 12 trade unions at the grassroots level.
Including 10 District and City Labor Federations and the Trade Union of the Party and Provincial Government Blocs. The time to dissolve the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, and Inspection Committee of the above units starts from July 1, 2025.
Mr. Hoang Lien emphasized that this is a major, unprecedented turning point in the provincial trade union system. The reorganization aims to streamline the apparatus, in line with the two-level local government model, while improving the effectiveness and efficiency of trade union activities.
District-level and equivalent trade unions have fulfilled their historic mission. The termination of activities at the intermediate level is necessary, creating conditions for the provincial trade union organization to develop more strongly in the new period," Mr. Hoang Lien shared.
On this occasion, Lam Dong Provincial Federation of Labor also commended many collectives and individuals who have contributed to building trade union organizations and developing the locality.
The unit also awarded the "For the cause of building and developing Lam Dong province" Medal to 18 individuals; the "For the cause of building the trade union organization" Medal to 76 individuals.
In addition, 1 collective received the Emulation Flag, 1 collective and 2 individuals received Certificates of Merit from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. The Provincial Federation of Labor also awarded certificates of merit to 12 outstanding collectives and 15 individuals.
