The People's Council of Can Tho City has issued Resolution 48/2025/NQ-HDND stipulating policies to support gift levels, support costs for sightseeing and centralized nursing for people with meritorious services to the revolution, relatives of people with meritorious services to the revolution and gift levels for some other policy beneficiaries in Can Tho city, in the period 2026 - 2030.
Resolution 48/2025/NQ-HDND stipulates that during a gift-giving occasion, in case people with meritorious services to the revolution, relatives of people with meritorious services to the revolution who are recognized as belonging to two or more eligible subjects for both levels of gifts, they will receive one gift with the highest level, if they are eligible to receive the same level of gifts, they will receive one gift with that level (persons worshiping martyrs will receive gifts, each martyr, the person worshiping martyrs will receive 1 gift).
Gifts for the Lunar New Year:
Subjects eligible for gifts from the President (gifts from the Central Government), localities provide additional support, specifically: Gift levels from 500,000 VND - 900,000 VND/person (period 2026 - 2030 increasing by at least 100,000 VND/person each year. Year 2026: 500,000 VND/person; year 2027: 600,000 VND/person; year 2028: 700,000 VND/person; year 2029: 800,000 VND/person; year 2030: 900,000 VND/person), for subjects including:
War invalids, people enjoying policies such as war invalids, type B war invalids, and sick soldiers with a body injury rate of 81% or more who are receiving monthly preferential allowances.
People who participated in the resistance war and were infected with chemical toxins with a body injury rate of 81% or more are receiving monthly preferential allowances.
People with meritorious services to the revolution are receiving monthly nurturing allowances.
Relatives of martyrs who are receiving monthly nurturing survivor's allowance; relatives of two or more martyrs who are receiving monthly survivor's allowance.
Injured soldiers, people enjoying policies such as injured soldiers, type B injured soldiers, and sick soldiers with a body injury rate of 80% or less are receiving monthly preferential allowances. Injured soldiers are enjoying working capacity loss benefits.
People who participated in the resistance war and were infected with chemical toxins with a body injury rate of 80% or less are receiving monthly preferential allowances.
Revolutionary and resistance activists, protecting the Fatherland, and performing international duties who were imprisoned and exiled by the enemy are receiving monthly preferential allowances.
People with meritorious services to the revolution are receiving monthly allowances.
Accordingly, people with meritorious services to the revolution who are receiving monthly nurturing allowances and monthly allowances belonging to the subjects eligible for gifts from the President will receive additional support of 500,000 VND - 900,000 VND/person during the Lunar New Year 2026 to 2030, each year will be increased by 100,000 VND, specifically 2026: 500,000 VND/person; 2027: 600,000 VND/person; 2028: 700,000 VND/person; 2029: 800,000 VND/person; 2030: 900,000 VND/person.
