Implementing the direction of the Government and the Social Insurance (SI) of Vietnam on promoting cashless payments, Dong Thanh Social Insurance (Tay Ninh province) has recorded many positive results in mobilizing pensioners and monthly social insurance beneficiaries to receive money through personal accounts.
In the payment period of September 2025, the unit is managing 776 pensioners and social insurance beneficiaries. Of which, 743 people have received them through bank accounts, reaching a rate of 95.74%.
In particular, in the payment on September 5, with the coordination of Lien Viet Postbank and the Post Office, social insurance officers directly consulted and supported 15 more people to register to receive money through their accounts. Thanks to that, the expected cashless payment rate in October 2025 increased to 97.68%.
There are currently 18 cases that still receive cash, mainly the elderly, people with poor health or those who do not use phones. Dong Thanh Social Insurance said it will continue to coordinate with banks and the Post Office to support and facilitate this group of subjects, aiming for the goal of 100% of people receiving pensions and subsidies through accounts.
According to Tay Ninh Social Insurance, paying through an account brings many practical benefits such as ensuring safety, reducing risks when carrying cash and increasing convenience when beneficiaries can receive money at any bank transaction point. This is also an important step in the digital transformation process, contributing to modernizing the operations of the social insurance sector.
