On the morning of September 23, speaking with Lao Dong, a representative of the Industrial Park Trade Union of the City Labor Federation said that the unit had just received a document from Daeduk Vina Company Limited.
Daeduk Vina Co., Ltd. has a Korean investment capital specializing in the production and processing of automobile electric cables, exporting 100% to the parent company in Korea. Due to the parent company in Korea continuously facing problems in production and business, specifically sudden cuts in orders leading to serious financial difficulties, in April 2025, the Company was unable to transfer money to Vietnam to pay salaries, insurance, taxes, factory rents as well as debts from other suppliers.
Meanwhile, the workshop rental company in Vietnam cut off electricity, water, and sealed the workshop (because the company had not been able to immediately pay the outstanding debt), leading to production stagnation, immediately cutting orders, and unable to restore them.
Ms. Kim Jung Hwa - the company's legal representative had to handle the problem in Korea, so she delayed going to Vietnam. Due to the inability to restore production, the company is looking for partners to transfer assets, machinery, equipment, raw materials, etc. Up to now, the partner wants to buy back assets, equipment, and raw materials stored in the factory and has transferred an advance payment of 2 billion VND. Daeduk Vina Co., Ltd. has paid the salary for March and April 2025 to the workers, fulfilling social insurance and tax obligations. The representative of the grassroots Trade Union also verified that the workers had been paid the above fees.
Previously, as Lao Dong reported, in June 2025, the collective of workers of Daeduk Vina Co., Ltd. ( DEEP C2B Industrial Park in Dinh Vu - Cat Hai Economic Zone) filed a petition for help regarding the Korean director's escape, owes workers' wages up to nearly 1.5 billion VND; owes social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance in March and April 2025.
On the afternoon of June 24, representatives of the Economic Zone Management Board, the City Police and the City Labor Federation also worked with Tan Vu - Hai Phong Industrial Park Joint Stock Company. After the meeting, the industrial park committed not to arbitrarily handle the assets of Daeduk Vina Company Limited, but to keep them intact and ensure sealing.
After the Industrial Park Party committed to keeping the company's assets intact, the Hai Phong Trade Union also informed workers to feel secure, at the same time, continued to grasp the concerns of workers, propagate and encourage workers to feel secure, avoid psychological agitation, affecting the security and order situation. The City Labor Federation allocated funds from the Trade Union Shelter Fund to provide subsidies to 44 workers of the company in difficult circumstances, each worth 2 million VND.
