According to Mr. Dao Minh Tu - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Permanent Deputy Governor of the State Bank, Chairman of the Vietnam Banking Trade Union (VBV Trade Union), it has become a practice that after the Lunar New Year holiday, the Party Committee and the Board of Directors of the State Bank organize a program on the origin at the National and Industry Historical Site in Son Duong District, Tuyen Quang Province.
The return to the source, reviewing history, offering incense, and offering flowers to express gratitude to generations of leaders and officers of the banking industry who have made great contributions to the birth and development of the Industry and the country has many great meanings. This includes contributing to propaganda and education to further improve the awareness of the sector's cadres, union members and employees in performing their tasks as well as in society.
In 2025, in addition to the "Forever grateful to Uncle Ho" tree planting program so that officers, union members, and employees of the banking industry can promote the good traditions every time Tet comes, Spring returns according to the teachings of President Ho Chi Minh, the Board of Directors of the State Bank and the Vietnam Bank Trade Union also launched a program for officers, union members, and employees of the Banking industry to contribute 1 day's salary to jointly support the program "Joining hands to eliminate 1,000 temporary and dilapidated houses" nationwide under the call of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.
Permanent Deputy Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam, Chairman of the Vietnam Bank Trade Union Dao Minh Tu said: "Housing is one of the essential needs of people, one of the factors contributing to the development of the country's human resources. The care and resolution of housing for the people has always been of interest to our Party and State and identified as a social issue, a key task of social security and sustainable poverty reduction".
Union Heads and Chairmen Promote exemplary Responsibility
Directing the implementation of the Tet tree planting and joining hands to eliminate 1,000 temporary and dilapidated houses, Governor of the State Bank Nguyen Thi Hong emphasized that these are two very meaningful programs for the banking industry and the country, thereby allowing union members and employees of the banking industry to continue to promote a sense of responsibility with the community and society, accompany the Government in implementing national target programs and strive to achieve the goal of basically eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in 2025, returning to the finish line 5 years ahead of the target set by the Prime Minister's appeal.
To effectively implement the program, the Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam requested that heads and Chairmen of Trade Unions of units in the whole industry promote their responsibility as exemplary and pioneering in organizing and implementing at their units and thoroughly grasp, encourage, motivate, propagate and mobilize cadres, union members and employees in their units to actively participate and respond to the two programs. The competent unit needs to advise and propose the Emulation and Reward Council of the Banking industry and the Governor of the State Bank to promptly reward collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing the program.
Governor Nguyen Thi Hong also expressed her hope that all union members, officials, civil servants, and employees of the banking sector will actively participate in the two programs, contributing to environmental protection, combating climate change, and promoting the spirit and good traditions of our nation and the banking sector in social security work.
It is known that the Governor of the State Bank and the State Bank of Vietnam Trade Union will send a document to units in the whole industry for implementation. The Program is expected to be completed before March 31, 2025.
