Workers struggle to find opportunities
Present at the Hanoi Employment Service Center, Ms. Quynh Anh (25 years old, Cau Giay ward) is completing procedures to receive unemployment benefits for the second month. Taking advantage of this time, she was also advised and introduced to new job opportunities by staff. Graduated with a major in finance, Ms. Quynh Anh said that she has sent her application to many companies but has not yet received positive feedback.
"At the end of this year, I saw quite a few companies recruiting, but finding a suitable job was more difficult than at the beginning of the year. I feel that businesses are tending to cut or rotate human resources quite a lot, so finding a new position is somewhat more difficult," Ms. Quynh Anh shared.
Similarly, Ms. Thu Hien (Cau Giay ward) has also been actively looking for a job for the past two months. Wanting to switch to a new profession, she encountered barriers when most employers required experience working in that field, even though she had experience in the previous job.
"I have gone to interview some places but it is quite difficult. Because I want to change direction, old experience is not completely suitable for the new company's environment. They require me to have experience in the industry, so I encountered many obstacles," Ms. Hien confided.

The common concern of workers like Ms. Quynh Anh and Ms. Hien is how to soon have a stable job before Tet, in the context of a vibrant but also competitive job market.
Many policies to attract and retain workers
From another perspective, in contrast to the struggles of job seekers, many businesses are in the period of "thirsty" for human resources to serve year-end orders. Ms. Le Hoai Thu, Head of Human Resources Department of TCTEX Vietnam Co., Ltd., said that the unit is planning to increase production and needs to recruit about 40-50 more workers from now until the end of the year.
"The company is planning for new orders, so we need to add more workers to keep up with the progress. New personnel will be trained early to be able to quickly get into the rhythm of the work. To attract and retain workers, we have implemented many practical support policies," said Ms. Thu.
Specifically, Ms. Thu's company offers policies such as a bonus of 1 million VND/month for employees, a bonus for new employees after 3 months of work, and especially a full accommodation plan for workers living far away and having housing difficulties.
According to Ms. Thu, these are important solutions that not only help businesses solve immediate human resource problems but also create a stable and long-term working environment. Proactively offering attractive benefits is considered an effective strategy to attract quality human resources during the peak competition period.
It can be seen that the demand for job search of workers and the recruitment demand of enterprises at the end of the year are both very large. The effective connection through job placement centers, along with reasonable support policies from businesses, is expected to open up many stable job opportunities, contributing to ensuring social security and boosting the economy in the last months of the year.
