At the age of over 35, having held a business management position at a large company, Mr. Bui Duy Chinh (Cau Giay Ward, Hanoi) did not think that one day he would have to start his journey to find a job. After quitting his job, he went to the Hanoi Employment Service Center to complete procedures to receive unemployment benefits. But every time he comes to the center, Mr. Chinh takes the opportunity to apply for positions recommended by the business.

Over the age of 35, job opportunities are no longer as open as before. I hope to find a job with the right expertise, with a salary of 12 - 15 million VND/month to be able to take care of my family, Mr. Chinh confided.
In the same situation, Ms. Nguyen Thanh Tu (Lieu Giai ward, Hanoi) has been a saleswoman in the fashion industry for 3 years. Quitting her old job due to time pressure, Ms. Tu went to the center to both complete procedures to receive subsidies and put her trust in the job fair. "I just hope for a more stable and suitable job to be able to balance my life," said Ms. Tu.

At the Hanoi Employment Service Center, each job fair has 6 - 8 participating businesses, bringing dozens of job opportunities from accounting, clerical, administrative to technical, security... Many units are ready to connect recruitment across the province and expand the age of candidates from 18 to 50 years old.
Mr. Nguyen Van Hoi, a human resources specialist at Sigma Inspection and Investment Company, said: "We need 40 - 50 workers. For technical installation positions that do not have expertise, the company will directly train them. The starting salary is from 8 - 12 million VND/month".
Job fairs are not only a fulcrum for workers when they temporarily lose their jobs but also a place for new hopes. The flexibility in recruitment, variety of occupations and age of admission help many workers soon find opportunities to stabilize their lives and steadily step on the new journey.
