According to Mr. Vu Quang Thanh - Deputy Director of Hanoi Employment Service Center, the labor market is recording a large gap between occupations: Some occupations are seriously lacking in human resources while many occupations have a surplus of labor. This increases competition, making it difficult for businesses to recruit.
Another difficulty is that businesses require highly qualified human resources and soft skills, especially in the fields of data analysis, technology, logistics, business... so even though recruitment demand is high, it is still difficult to find suitable candidates.
The labor market also recorded fluctuations under the impact of technology, causing some industries to witness a wave of workers leaving, making it difficult for businesses to re-recruit. Meanwhile, workers are increasingly cautious when looking for new jobs, especially in the context of many economic fluctuations. These changes force businesses to be flexible and adjust their recruitment strategies, said Mr. Vu Quang Thanh.
Mr. Thanh proposed a solution to reduce the "slide" between labor supply and demand.
Analyze and forecast the labor market accurately to clearly identify industries with shortage of human resources and industries with surplus labor. From there, businesses will develop appropriate training and recruitment plans.
Improve the quality of human resources through training and skills conversion. Enterprises should invest in retraining and improving skills to help workers from redundant industries switch to fields with high demand.
In addition, cooperation between businesses and schools will help students gain practical skills right from school, shortening the gap between training and actual recruitment.
Developing recruitment platforms and job exchanges is also an important solution to help businesses quickly find suitable personnel, while supporting workers to access better job opportunities.
Organizing job fairs, recruitment fairs, and applying information technology to the recruitment process will help optimize the connection process between businesses and candidates.
