Ms. Phan Thi Tien Phuong, a worker at Giap Quan Thang Dai Thanh Trading and Service Co., Ltd. (Can Tho City) shared with Lao Dong about her daily work and the journey of constant innovation and creativity.
Ms. Phuong recounted that as a direct production worker in the export sports shoe processing industry, her job, like millions of workers across the country, is very simple but also no less hard. Every day, she comes to the factory, stands by the production line, works with her hands, with responsibility and with the belief that the products she makes will contribute to creating value for the business and for the country.
However, in production labor, Ms. Phuong always understands that just working hard is not enough. If you want businesses to develop, if you want employees to have stable jobs and increasingly better incomes, you must constantly innovate, be creative and improve labor productivity.

From the reality of daily work, over the past time, Ms. Phuong and colleagues have noticed some technical errors on the product that affect the quality and incur many repair costs.
We have boldly proposed to change the sewing process and improve the product packaging method. What is precious is that those proposals have been listened to by businesses, accompanied and supported by the Trade Union organization for testing and completion" - she added.
Unexpectedly, the results were beyond expectations. The rate of defective products decreased significantly, product quality was improved, labor productivity was improved, and businesses saved billions of VND in production costs.
From my own story, I realized a very simple but extremely meaningful thing, that initiatives do not only come from laboratories or research centers. Initiatives can start from the construction site, factories, production lines; from workers who work directly every day and are always concerned about how to make work more efficient and products better" - Ms. Phuong added.
Female workers also believe that across the country, from modern industrial parks to factories, construction sites, hospitals, and schools, there are millions of workers silently contributing. Each person has a different position and job, but they all carry in them the spirit of overcoming difficulties, the will to rise up and the aspiration to contribute to the development of their homeland and country.
For Ms. Phuong, the emulation movement "Good labor, high productivity, good income" launched by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (June 7) is not only an emulation movement, but also a strong appeal to arouse the intelligence, bravery and creativity of the Vietnamese working class in the new development stage of the country.

I vow to continue studying, improving professional qualifications, practicing skills, actively researching, proposing initiatives, technical improvements, turning each job position into a bright spot in terms of productivity, quality and creativity" - Ms. Phuong committed.
