On January 4, the Department of Construction of Dak Lak province said that in 2026, the locality plans to deploy the construction of 3,900 social housing units for low-income workers. In the period 2025-2030, the whole province strives to build more than 38,000 units.
In 2025 alone, Dak Lak completed and started construction of a total of 2,255 social housing units. Of which, 1,348 units were completed and 907 new units were started.
Currently, many social housing projects in the area have met the buying and selling conditions, including: Km7 Residential Urban Area and Ha Huy Tap Residential Area (Tan An ward); Suoi Xanh Commercial Center - Hotel - Housing and Eco-cultural Coffee Urban Complex (Buon Ma Thuot ward).
At the end of December 2025, Ecopark Hai Duong Investment Joint Stock Company started construction of two social housing buildings under the EcoPalace Buon Ma Thuot Project (No. 02 Mai Hac De, Buon Ma Thuot ward).
The project includes two 5-story buildings, with a scale of 158 apartments, designed synchronously, ensuring technical standards and quality of living environment, contributing to meeting housing needs for low-income people.

Mr. Nguyen Hong Anh (resident of Tan An ward) said that after more than 8 years of saving, his family has accumulated about 400 million VND and hopes to be able to buy a social housing in the period 2026-2027 to stabilize their housing.
Mr. Le Hung - Deputy Director of Dak Lak Provincial Department of Construction - said that after implementing the 2-level government model and merging the province, the department has synchronized many solutions to attract investment and accelerate the progress of social housing projects.
The planning, investor selection and construction location are required to be consistent with urban planning, land use and essential infrastructure such as transportation, electricity, water, schools, and healthcare. Thanks to that, the projects basically ensure progress, and the goal of building more than 38,000 units in the coming period is assessed as feasible.
According to Mr. Le Hung, From an economic perspective, the development of social housing projects also helps the province complete the "double goal". In which, concretizing the dream for low-income workers and contributing to the province's socio-economic growth at a "double-digit" level.
At the same time, this is also a solution that contributes to limiting the situation of distortion and real estate speculation, increasing long-term stability for the market. Thereby, affirming the management and implementation capacity of local authorities.
Social housing projects also create growth momentum for many related industries such as construction, building materials, transportation - technical infrastructure, electricity - water - telecommunications, education, health and urban services, thereby contributing to expanding the urban economic value chain.
