Opportunities for young workers
Nguyen Doan Huong - a third-year student majoring in Electrical and Electronics (Hanoi College of Electronics - Refrigeration), attended the session with the need to learn about a job suitable for the major after graduation.
"I have visited and listened to advice from a number of businesses. Learning about work and job opportunities before graduation is also a way for me to get acquainted, increase job opportunities, and if I am lucky, I can even receive training from a business for both studying and working. I want to apply for the position of technical staff, specializing in building operations or technical staff for machinery repair. After graduating, I hope to find a job that suits my salary from 20 million VND/month, Huong said.
Bui Anh Thu - a 4th year student majoring in mass media (academic of Journalism and Communication) also attended the session to learn about job opportunities at English language centers for children.
"Currently, I am teaching English to primary school children, earning an average of 150,000 - 200,000 VND/session. At the session, I did not have any specific requirements or expectations for salary, I paid more attention to job requirements and the tasks I had to do if I worked at professional English centers, Anh Thu said.
Diversifying job opportunities
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tuan - representative of Tuan Tu Travel Company Limited said that businesses want to recruit many positions such as office worker, marketing, candidates who want to study abroad in European countries, Canada, the US, Japan, etc.
"The recruitment positions are all full-time jobs, suitable for new graduates or young workers looking for jobs. Today we have reached about 10 candidates. In terms of income, depending on each position and your ability, it can be from 20 - 50 million VND/month. In addition, we want to find a dynamic, honest and responsible candidate for our work, Mr. Tuan shared.
Participating in the trading session, Ms. Nguyen Thi Ha - representative of VNPT Cau Giay Branch (VNPT Hanoi) said that the unit focused on recruiting positions for sales staff, in addition to having jobs for workers to find time-saving jobs.
"Depending on the location, there will be a suitable salary for you, for example, for sales staff, you will receive a salary on sales commissions from 15-20% according to revenue, in which the minimum commission for a customer contract is 200,000 VND. With the position of posting, advertising... it will be suitable for students who are sales collaborators, the expertise will be simple and the working hours will also be more flexible," Ms. Ha added.
According to Mr. Nguyen Tay Nam - Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Home Affairs, organizing the Cau Giay Ward job consultation and trading session in 2025 is one of the solutions to promote the labor market, support businesses and workers, and is an opportunity for workers not only to receive direct consultation but also a forum for sharing career guidance and vocational training orientation.
At the session, the demand for recruiting workers with college and university degrees was 708 targets; the demand for recruiting workers with intermediate level qualifications, technical workers was 619 targets; the demand for recruiting unskilled workers was 313 targets.
According to income, income from 15 million VND/month or more has 541 targets; income from 10-15 million VND/month has 401 targets; income from 7-10 million VND/month has 341 targets; income from 5-7 million VND/month has 220 targets; income according to agreement has 137 targets.
By age group: From 18-25 years old, there are 641 targets; from 26-34 years old, there are 675 targets; from 35 years old and above, there are 324 targets.
