Tet market - the brand of the trade union organization
Implementing the program to care for union members and workers on the occasion of Tet At Ty 2025 launched by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL) with the theme "Tet Sum Vay - Spring of gratitude to the Party", these days, the union of Quang Ninh Urban Environment Development and Investment Joint Stock Company (Judenco) is building a plan for each department and worker.
Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Van - Chairman of Judenco Company's Trade Union - said: "We are very happy to know that the 2025 Provincial Trade Union Tet Market will be held in Ha Long City, where the company is stationed. The company currently has 612 union members and employees. After the recent storm No. 3, many union members and employees were severely affected. Therefore, this activity will help employees access preferential policies for discounted purchases, and have a more fulfilling Tet. When employees are taken care of, it will be a source of motivation to help the company speed up production and business progress, and develop more and more."
According to the plan, the notable point of the 2024 Tet program is that in addition to the direct markets, it will continue to be organized online, allowing remote units to participate and monitor via technology platforms. This not only helps expand the scale but also increases interaction and access to more workers. In addition to the opening session in Ha Long City, other localities are also encouraged to organize Tet markets under suitable conditions.
It is estimated that each market session will attract thousands of union members and workers. The zero-dong stalls are the highlight of the program, helping workers in difficult circumstances have the opportunity to shop for Tet, reducing their financial burden.
The program not only helps improve material life but also provides workers with an opportunity to access quality products at preferential prices. This is also a continuation of the campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods", encouraging domestic consumption and supporting domestic enterprises.
Variety of care activities
With the motto "All union members and workers have Tet", the Trade Union organizations at all levels of Quang Ninh province have proactively developed plans and made efforts so that all union members and workers have a full and warm Tet.
Trade unions at all levels proactively socialize and mobilize businesses, organizations and individuals to organize activities to support all or part of the transportation costs for union members and employees to return to their hometowns for Tet and return to their workplaces safely, conveniently and thoughtfully.
Organize activities to celebrate Spring, welcome Tet, visit and encourage union members and workers who are unable to return home for Tet. In case many union members and workers are unable to return home for Tet, consider organizing the program "Tet not far from home" or other suitable forms of activities.
Units use reserve funds and existing regular operating funds to take care of union members and employees in difficult circumstances. The level of care does not exceed VND 1,000,000/person (of which, cash does not exceed VND 700,000 and in-kind does not exceed VND 300,000). Units strengthen socialization work, create additional sources of revenue to proactively spend more, the higher spending can be in cash or in-kind.
Mr. To Xuan Thao - Chairman of the Quang Ninh Provincial Federation of Labor - affirmed: "Caring for and creating welfare for workers in general and activities during the Traditional New Year in particular is to promote the internal strength of enterprises. Therefore, the joint efforts of trade unions at all levels in activities to care for workers also contribute to creating a strong push for agencies, units and enterprises to more actively join hands to care for workers more actively, improve the working environment, and enhance policies for workers".
