Solutions from the grassroots
From reality, Ms. Tran Thu Hien - Vice President of Hoang Mai District Labor Federation - said that building a culture-standard agency and enterprise is not an easy process but is extremely important and necessary for long-term development.
Despite many difficulties, building and maintaining a positive culture will bring many benefits, from internal cohesion to sustainable development of the organization. Therefore, each agency and enterprise needs to clearly recognize the importance of organizational culture and proactively implement effective solutions to build a positive and inspiring working environment.
In Hoang Mai, the District Labor Federation has had a number of solutions such as promoting more strongly to businesses so that the business unions can promptly register, implement and propose to consider recognizing a unit that meets cultural standards in the next phase. Strengthening dialogue and creating conditions for employees to participate, it is necessary to organize regular dialogues between leaders and employees to listen to employees' opinions, wishes and aspirations. Continue to focus on building and developing trade union cultural institutions
Hanoi Trade Unions at all levels have promoted the Campaign "Building an Industrial Cultural Lifestyle" among the Capital's employees in conjunction with promoting the work of building and developing grassroots cultural life, improving the quality of assessment, evaluation, recognition of the title of building "Cultural standard agencies, units, and enterprises" and implementing the Code of Conduct at the Workplace, Code of Conduct in Public spaces.
From 2023 to present, there are 3,816 units registered to recognize the title of "Cultural standard agency, unit, and enterprise", of which the period 2023 - 2027 is 3,059 units and the period 2024 - 2028 is 757 units. The results of the appraisal of the dossier to propose recognition of the title of "Cultural standard agency, unit, and enterprise" for the period 2023-2024 are that 45 Trade Unions at the grassroots level have conducted an inspection, appraisal and proposal to recognize 2,784 dossiers, including 540 agencies, 1,865 units, and 379 enterprises. As a result, 1,780 units have been recognized as "Cultural standard agencies, units and enterprises"; 44/45 grassroots trade unions directly above the grassroots level exceeded the assigned rate.
Many units have creative activities and new models. In particular, the Hanoi Transport Trade Union deployed the model "Ho Chi Minh Cultural Space", composed a new song about the Capital Trade Union celebrating the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union; Cau Giay District Labor Federation deployed the model "Congrel to relax the Trade Union"; Hanoi Construction Trade Union deployed the model "Mobility house for environmental workers" and the model "Union member welfare" with 5 units providing essential products to workers, with incentives up to 50%.
Speaking at the Commendation Ceremony, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Thai Thu Xuong highly appreciated the results achieved by the Capital Trade Union, and at the same time proposed to continue to effectively implement Directive 52 of the Secretariat on "Strengthening the Party's leadership in improving the spiritual life of workers in industrial parks and export processing zones". Continue to focus on building and developing union cultural institutions, creating conditions for union members and employees to participate in cultural, artistic and sports activities.
In particular, in the Workers' Month 2025 with the theme "Vietnamese workers pioneering in entering a new era", trade unions at all levels need to focus on organizing practical and effective activities, caring for union members and workers both materially and spiritually.
