Ms. Tran Thi Bich Gam (24 years old) - a garment worker in Nam Dinh - has an income ranging from 11 to 15 million VND/month. "For months when I reach 14 million VND or more, everyone is amazed, but for me, to have that salary, I have worked very hard" - Ms. Gam said.
A month's high salary mainly depends on good product codes and prices, and she has to stay overtime a lot.
When she works overtime late, Ms. Gam says that when she gets home, everyone is tired and no longer has the vitality. Hurry up to clean up the body, sit and eat alone and feel sad because my parents and siblings have finished eating all the food.
Ms. Gam shared that the company calculates salary based on output, so to get a high salary, female workers have to try harder than others. If you don't try, even if the unit price code is attractive, you can only get a salary of 7 - 10 million VND/month.

"The footrest is always like a machine, coordinating smoothly to produce a lot of output in a short time. There are so many goods and so many busy that I don't have time to go to the toilet. In the afternoon off, I only take a 10-minute break to have a snack and then go to work" - Ms. Gam said.
Despite the hardships, according to Ms. Gam, when she reached the salary level of over 10 million VND, she felt proud and worthy. The female worker plans to try to work until she is 30 years old. At that time, having accumulated a lot of capital, she will reduce the frequency of work or switch to another job to make it less difficult.
Although not working according to output, Tran Thi Hanh (39 years old) - a leather shoe worker - still has to trade off a lot of time and health.
"My monthly salary is 11.5 million VND, but I have to work overtime and at night because my overtime salary is 150% of office hours. If I don't work at night, just work during the day, my salary is about 9.5 million VND/month" - Ms. Hanh said.
The female worker shared that she often works overtime for 2.5 hours a day, and works in turns for 2 weeks a day, 2 weeks a night. When working at night, in addition to overtime pay, there is also an accompanying allowance and a meal allowance of 2 meals per day.
With a high income, Ms. Hanh also partly relies on allowances for meals of 1.3 million VND, 50,000 VND for toilet paper, gasoline, diligence, and seniority. If these policies are abolished, Ms. Hanh's maximum income will only be more than 9 million VND per month even if she works at night.
The female worker said that when she gets home at 8pm, she doesn't have much time to take care of her family. If you work at night or return home at 8am, eat, take care of your daily expenses and go to bed until the next morning before waking up, your body is very tired and feels a waste of time.
Working overtime late and working at night regularly also affected Ms. Hanh's health. Although only 39 years old, Ms. Hanh often has headaches, dizziness, gray hair and dark skin. Every month, the female worker has to spend 500,000 VND to buy supplements.
Ms. Hanh's plan is to work in another department again. If the company still does not agree, the female worker said she can take a leave to find a job at another more suitable company to maintain her health.
