On March 8, the Standing Committee of the Trade Union of Industrial Parks (IPs) of Soc Trang province organized a women's union football tournament for union members and workers to celebrate the 115th anniversary of International Women's Day (March 8).
Ms. Trinh Thi Bao Khuyen - Vice President of the Provincial Labor Federation attended and cheered the athletes on.
The tournament attracted the participation of 4 teams with nearly 100 female athletes and supporters from the Trade Unions under the Provincial Industrial Parks Trade Union and the Provincial Police Trade Union.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Ly Truong Khoa - Vice Chairman of the Trade Union of Industrial Parks in Soc Trang province emphasized: "In addition to taking care of the material life of union members and workers, the Standing Committee of the Trade Union of Industrial Parks in the province always focuses on improving spiritual life. Maintaining the annual women's union and workers' football tournament is one of the practical activities to improve health, improve spiritual life, to enthusiastically produce effectively and with quality, contributing to the development of businesses".
Mr. Khoa also said that the tournament was organized this time with the spirit of "Health to build and protect the Fatherland", "Health to work and produce". This is an opportunity for women to demonstrate their talents, attracting more female workers to participate in the trade union organization, thereby contributing to improving labor productivity and developing enterprises.
