Ms. Le Thi Suong Mai - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Member of the City Party Committee, Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the City, President of the Can Tho City Labor Federation attended and directed the Congress.
The Trade Union of HS Vietnam Chemical Company Limited - Soc Trang Branch currently has 1,289 union members. During the past term, the employment and living conditions of union members and employees have always been stable and increasingly improved. Implement the monthly productivity and quality reward and occupational safety and hygiene work regime; the overtime and night shift regime is implemented in accordance with the provisions of the Labor Law.
During the term, the Executive Board of the Trade Union also cooperated with the Company to provide subsidies for difficulties, illnesses, accidents, funerals, and funerals to more than 460 people (250,000 - 3,000,000 VND/meal) with a total amount of over 203 million VND. Implement well the social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance payment regime for employees with 100% labor contracts.
Speaking at the congress, Ms. Le Thi Suong Mai highly appreciated the achievements of the Trade Union of HS Vietnam Chemical Company Limited - Soc Trang Branch. She suggested that the new term Trade Union should demonstrate its representative role in protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers; proactively coordinate with employers to build and supervise grassroots democracy regulations, negotiate and sign collective labor agreements.
The grassroots trade union needs to innovate the patriotic emulation movement; replicate the example of good people with many technical innovation initiatives. Strengthen propaganda and political and ideological education among union members and employees, building the image of creative and responsible Can Tho workers. Build a strong trade union organization, develop union members, train union officials, improve innovation in content and methods of operation.
At the same time, the application of digital technology in union management and activities to improve professionalism, transparency and efficiency in serving union members.
The Congress elected the new Executive Committee of the Trade Union; elected delegates to attend the 1st Congress of the Can Tho City Trade Union, term 2025 - 2030. Mr. Huynh Thanh Hoai was re-elected as Chairman of the Trade Union of HS Vietnam Chemical Company Limited - Soc Trang Branch for the 2025 - 2030 term.
