Pay more attention to workers' thoughts and lives
Happy to visit and present gifts, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man sent to all workers at the meeting and workers and laborers in Hau Giang province his best wishes for a warm, united, happy Lunar New Year 2025.
“I understand that Hau Giang province has 2 industrial parks, 7 clusters, 6 logistics centers, with a total workforce of more than 57,000 people, and about 55,000 union members. It can be said that in recent years, Hau Giang has paid attention to developing industry and handicrafts, but in the future, the number of workers needs to double or triple for the province to industrialize, modernize, and develop. Because Hau Giang province is an agricultural province, if it wants to develop quickly, it must develop industry,” the National Assembly Chairman stated.
According to the National Assembly Chairman, Hau Giang is still a large land with a lot of room for development, so the province must continue to strongly call for investment from businesses. Industrial development will create jobs for people; create products in the province, export them abroad, and create an important source of budget revenue for the province's development.
The National Assembly Chairman added that at the 8th Session, the 15th National Assembly passed the amended Trade Union Law, which raised the position and role of workers' trade union members and paid more attention to policies and regimes.
The National Assembly Chairman suggested that the Chairman of the Hau Giang Provincial Federation of Labor must implement all policies, resolutions, and laws related to workers. Although workers are in the production line, there must be an appropriate approach to propaganda. The Provincial Federation of Labor must pay more attention to the ideology and life of the workers, at the same time, pay attention to their health, and have all the conditions to take care of workers' medical examinations every 6 months and 1 year, in order to detect difficult diseases for early treatment; in the company, there must be "morning exercise, afternoon sports, evening singing".
In addition, the National Assembly Chairman requested to review the rights of workers in Hau Giang province, promptly resolve difficulties and problems so that they can feel secure in production and business in a favorable environment.
Regarding the issue of social housing and housing for workers, the National Assembly Chairman stated that the policy of the Party, the National Assembly, and the Government is to build 1 million social houses for workers. Hau Giang must review the planning of a factory or a company, which must have accommodation, a place for children to study, at the lowest level there must be a kindergarten, at the lowest level there must be a place for medical treatment, a mini supermarket so that a company must ensure living conditions; organize meals between breaks, lunch, and dinner for workers...
Most businesses pay Tet bonuses to employees.

“This is a great source of encouragement for us union members and workers, giving us more motivation and peace of mind to continue working hard and working together with businesses to achieve higher productivity in the future,” said Ms. Tran Kim Phung happily.
Reporting to the National Assembly Chairman and the working delegation, Chairman of the Hau Giang Provincial Federation of Labor Le Cong Khanh said that so far, most businesses have had plans to pay salaries and Tet bonuses to union members and employees.
