On the afternoon of March 21, in Quy Nhon city, the Central Coastal Industrial Parks Trade Union Cluster held a workshop on "Promoting the development of union members, establishing grassroots trade unions and Party development in enterprises".
The opening ceremony was attended by Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Huynh Thanh Xuan.
On June 12, 2021, the Politburo of the Party Central Committee issued Resolution 02-NQ/TW "On innovating the organization and operation of Vietnam Trade Union in the new situation".
At the 13th Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, term 2023 - 2028, "developing union members, establishing grassroots unions in non-state enterprises" was identified as one of the three breakthroughs.
The Congress aims to: By the end of the term, "the whole country will have 15 million union members, establish grassroots unions in 100% of enterprises with 25 or more employees".
Speaking at the workshop, Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Chairman of the Binh Dinh Economic Zone Trade Union Nguyen Duc Long emphasized: "In the context of Vietnam's comprehensive and extensive international integration, promoting the development of union members, establishing grassroots trade unions and Party development in enterprises is one of the key and key tasks, the main and direct responsibility of trade unions at all levels".
Mr. Long suggested that the delegates focus on properly assessing the current situation of union member development, grassroots union establishment, participation in Party building and Party member development in enterprises under industrial park unions; identify difficulties and challenges; share experiences, effective methods, breakthrough solutions; recommend and propose solutions to complete assigned tasks.
