On the afternoon of December 16, at the 1st Vinh Long Provincial Trade Union Congress, term 2025-2030, Ms. Thai Thu Xuong - Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor suggested a number of additional issues for the Congress to discuss.
Accordingly, the Vinh Long Provincial Trade Union needs to focus on performing well the role of representing, caring for, protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers, especially issues of wages, housing, kindergartens, cultural - sports institutions, occupational safety and hygiene, and health care.
Develop a variety of activities to care for the interests of union members in a practical and effective manner. Improve the quality of programs and models of caring for the interests of union members that have been and are effective such as union meals, Workers' Month, Tet Sum Vay, shift meals, union shelters; build, sign and implement cooperation agreements to become benefits and benefits of the union organization for union members and workers.
Two is to continue to strongly innovate the content and methods of propaganda and mobilization in a proactive, timely and effective manner; through digitalization, connection and use of communication documents on cyberspace, digital platforms according to the principles of "fastness", "ribbon" and "deepness" and "deepness" to make it easier for workers to access and understand correctly, thereby improving the effectiveness of education and persuasion in propaganda about trade union organization and activities.
Three is to organize patriotic emulation movements among union members and workers with appropriate content and methods for each type of facility and profession, the most important of which is the emulation movement for good workers, creative workers", "green, clean, beautiful, ensuring occupational safety and hygiene", "good at public work, good at housework".
Four is to innovate the content and methods of trade union activities, participate in building a strong Party, government, and working class.
"We need to continue to innovate the content and methods of operation of the Trade Union according to the new organizational model, especially the model of the commune and ward trade unions; focus resources and solutions, promote the application of digital transformation to develop union members, establish grassroots trade unions associated with improving the quality of trade union activities, building a strong trade union organization" - said the Standing Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
According to Ms. Thai Thu Xuong, in the coming time, Vinh Long Trade Union must also focus on seriously and effectively implementing "3 approaches": Near workers, near the grassroots, near digital space; "3 musts": Must listen, must dialogue, must be an example, must take responsibility, must report results; "4 no's": not formal, not avoid, not push, not doing wrong functions.
In addition to strengthening inspection, supervision, reward - strict discipline. thoroughly grasp and implement the motto of meeting: Less, more action; fewer slogans, more results; fewer procedures, more employee satisfaction.
