Outstanding marks through the number of spoke words
On the afternoon of December 16, at the Provincial Conference Center, the Vinh Long Provincial Labor Federation held the opening of the solemn working session of the 1st Vinh Long Provincial Trade Union Congress, term 2025-2030. The Congress took place in an atmosphere of solidarity and democracy, demonstrating the determination to innovate and develop.
The Congress was attended by Ms. Thai Thu Xuong - National Assembly Delegate of the 15th tenure, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; leaders of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province and 298/300 delegates representing more than 169,000 union members and workers in the whole province.
The political report at the Congress shows that the period 2023-2025, although it is a period of transition and reorganization, the organization and operation of the Provincial Trade Union, still achieved many positive and comprehensive results.
The whole province currently has 169,462 union members, operating at 615 grassroots unions. Union member development work has achieved outstanding results with more than 44,000 new union members, far exceeding the target of the previous Resolution.
The activities of representing and protecting workers' rights have been enhanced through 353 inspections of the implementation of labor laws at enterprises. Trade unions at all levels have signed 474 collective labor agreements, of which 97% have more beneficial contents for employees.
Caring for life continues to be a bright spot. The "Union Shelter" program supports the construction of 773 houses for union members in difficult circumstances, with a budget of over 36 billion VND. The "Tet Sum Vay" activity takes care of more than 200,000 union members, with a total cost of nearly 123 billion VND.
In addition, the Provincial Trade Union has introduced 7,425 outstanding union members for the Party to consider, exceeding the set target by 253%, affirming the increasingly enhanced role and prestige of the Trade Union organization.
Accompanying businesses, sustainable development
Speaking at the Congress, Chairman of the Vinh Long Provincial Federation of Labor Nguyen Phuc Linh emphasized that the new term aims to build a strong and substantial Trade Union organization to meet the requirements in the new development stage.
Accordingly, the Trade Union will focus on representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and legal rights of union members; developing a team of workers in both quantity and quality, accompanying businesses in sustainable development.
Three breakthroughs were identified including: advising and implementing long-term welfare programs; building a team of brave and professional union officials; promoting innovation, applying digital transformation, building a model of "Digital Union", "digital union members".
This is an important foundation to improve operational efficiency, affirming the role of the Trade Union as a reliable support for workers, contributing to building Vinh Long province to develop rapidly and sustainably in the new term.
The 1st Vinh Long Provincial Trade Union Congress, term 2025-2030, officially opened a new development journey, aiming at the practical benefits of union members and workers.
