Encourage initiative proposals
According to the plan of the Da Nang City Labor Federation, the initiative and innovation movement is one of the key contents to be implemented in Workers' Month 2026.
Trade union levels will promote propaganda and mobilization of union members and workers to proactively propose technical improvement solutions, improve production processes, and improve work efficiency at each unit and enterprise.
The content of the initiative does not only stop at technical improvements in production but also extends to fields such as management, labor organization, digital technology application, material saving and operating cost reduction.
Feasible initiatives will be coordinated by businesses and trade unions to support implementation, monitor, evaluate and replicate. At the same time, highly effective initiatives will be summarized and introduced for commendation at all levels.
According to the plan, the goal is to have about 10% of union members and workers participate in proposing initiatives, of which at least 30% of initiatives are applied to production and business practices.
To create favorable conditions, grassroots trade unions will coordinate with businesses to build a clear process for receiving and reviewing initiatives, helping workers easily register and implement ideas.
In addition, the organization of activities such as skills competitions, initiative competitions at enterprises, and the "Workers' Initiatives" program is also focused on to create an environment for workers to show their creativity.
Ms. Phan Thi Thuy Linh - Chairwoman of the Da Nang City Labor Federation said that this year's initiative movement is oriented to be associated with digital transformation, improving production processes and improving labor productivity, in line with the development requirements of businesses in the new context.
Organize many activities to spread the movement
To make the initiative movement truly spread, many specific activities will be deployed simultaneously during Workers' Month.
Initiative and technical innovation competitions at enterprises and industrial parks are organized to create conditions for workers to present ideas, share experiences and learn from each other.
Short video writing contests on digital platforms such as TikTok, Reels have also been launched, with content introducing the work, life of workers and initiatives in production labor.
In addition, forums for exchanging experiences, skills competitions, and skills training programs are also organized to improve professional qualifications and vocational skills for workers.
Trade union levels also coordinate with businesses to guide the reception, appraisal and evaluation of initiatives, ensuring that valuable ideas are effectively applied in practice.
The commendation and reward of individuals with typical initiatives are carried out promptly, with special attention at the grassroots level to encourage employees to actively participate.
Mr. Tran Quoc Dung, a mechanical worker at Hoa Khanh Industrial Park, shared: "If there is a good support mechanism and it is recognized, workers will boldly come up with more initiatives. Many small improvements in operation can also help work faster and reduce labor.
According to Mr. Dung, in the process of working, the person directly involved in production is often the one who understands the inadequacies of the production line or process best, and from there can propose appropriate solutions.
In addition to promoting initiatives in production, trade union levels also integrate propaganda activities on the role of innovation, raising workers' awareness of the importance of job improvement.
Typical initiatives will be selected to be widely introduced in the trade union system, and at the same time propose rewards at a higher level to create motivation for the movement.
According to the plan, promoting the initiative movement will not only stop at Workers' Month but also aim to build it into regular activities at enterprises.
Through these activities, the initiative movement among workers is expected to continue to develop, contributing to improving labor productivity, improving working conditions and increasing income for workers in the city.
