Collective labor agreements are becoming one of the important bases for trade union organizations to represent and protect the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers (NLĐ).
Through the process of dialogue and negotiation with employers, many grassroots trade unions in Ninh Binh have proposed to include clauses that are more beneficial to employees in the agreement.
Ms. Dao Thi Hanh - Chairwoman of the grassroots trade union of Jeil Kovi Vina Co., Ltd. (in Khanh Phu Industrial Park, Dong Hoa Lu ward, Ninh Binh province) - shared that the contents that workers are interested in are often directly related to salaries, bonuses, meals, attendance allowances, travel support, housing, sick leave benefits...
These benefits, although of different value, are all associated with practical needs in the daily life of workers. For workers with limited incomes, a meal allowance, attendance allowance or timely visiting allowance can contribute to reducing difficulties and helping them feel secure in their work" - Ms. Hanh shared.
Ms. Dinh Thi Thanh Tam - Chairwoman of the Trade Union of ADORA Vietnam Footwear Co., Ltd. (belonging to Tam Diep Industrial Park, Tam Diep ward, Ninh Binh province) - said that reality shows that a quality collective labor agreement not only brings benefits to employees but also helps businesses stabilize human resources.
When regimes on salaries, bonuses, meals and welfare are clearly regulated, employees have a basis to supervise implementation. Businesses are also more convenient in the process of labor management, limiting the occurrence of petitions and disputes.
The terms higher than the minimum regulations also show the sharing of the business with employees. This is an important factor in building trust, increasing the level of attachment and encouraging employees to improve productivity and work quality" - Ms. Tam shared.
Mr. Vu Hong Minh - Vice Chairman of Ninh Binh Provincial Labor Federation - said that from the beginning of 2026 to now, in Ninh Binh province, 996/1324 eligible enterprises have signed collective labor agreements, reaching 88%. Of which, 130 new agreements have been signed.
Along with signing collective labor agreements, trade unions at all levels have focused on improving the quality of agreement content, limiting the situation of copying existing regulations, and not adding more substantive benefits to employees.
In the first 6 months of 2026, 1,100/1,279 enterprises with trade union organizations organized dialogues with employees at their workplaces. The dialogues are the basis for the two sides to exchange views on working conditions, wages, working hours, rest hours and welfare regimes.
In the context of a volatile labor market, welfare policies are increasingly becoming criteria for workers to choose and decide to stick with businesses. Businesses with a stable working environment and good remuneration will have many advantages in recruiting and retaining employees.
Negotiation, signing and implementation of collective labor agreements also contribute to preventing labor disputes from an early stage, from the grassroots level.
In the first 6 months of 2026, trade union levels in Ninh Binh province chaired and coordinated to resolve 4 collective work stoppages with more than 2,000 workers participating. Through this, legitimate recommendations of workers were received, exchanged and resolved promptly, contributing to stabilizing the production situation at enterprises.
Collective labor agreements only truly promote value when the clauses are built from actual needs, seriously implemented by both parties and regularly inspected and supervised. In the coming time, trade union levels in Ninh Binh province will continue to improve the quality of dialogue and collective bargaining; focusing on clauses directly related to the lives, jobs and income of workers" - Mr. Minh said.
