Ms. Nguyen Thi Van Quynh - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Textile and Garment Trade Union, Vice President of the grassroots trade union of Hue Textile and Garment Joint Stock Company, delegate to the 14th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union, proposed that the Congress pay attention to directing the development of solutions to improve the quality of negotiation and signing of collective labor agreements.
Ms. Quynh said: I expect the 14th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union to create breakthroughs in innovating the content and methods of trade union activities, especially enhancing the representative role, caring for and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers in the context of digital transformation, green transformation and increasingly deep international integration.
Ms. Quynh also hopes that the Congress will have policies on salary and welfare policies for workers to ensure that the regional minimum wage truly catches up and adapts flexibly to the rate of price slippage and inflation, ensuring the actual minimum living standard of workers and their families.
To make the signing of collective labor agreements better implemented, the Vice Chairman of the grassroots trade union of Hue Textile and Garment Joint Stock Company proposed that the Congress pay attention to directing the development of solutions to improve the quality of negotiation and signing of collective labor agreements in a practical, effective and more beneficial direction for workers.
In particular, it is necessary to promote the participation of workers right from the stage of surveying needs, collecting opinions before negotiation and supervising implementation after signing, so that each Agreement truly reflects the voice and aspirations of workers and becomes a driving force for building harmonious, stable, and progressive labor relations in enterprises.
