According to the Vietnam Education Trade Union (VTC), in recent times, the VTC has identified the task of innovating trade union methods of operation as one of the key contents, so it has directed units to develop annual work plans and programs close to the practical conditions of each unit and associated with the key tasks of the industry. The grassroots trade union directs activities; the higher-level trade union strengthens support and helps the lower-level trade union organize activities and perform well the functions and tasks of the trade union organization at the grassroots level.
In addition, the Trade Union has made many innovations in direction and operation; increased the application of information technology and digital platforms in directing and organizing trade union activities. Accordingly, build an online reporting system, organize competitions and conferences online; use the E-office system, apply features of Google, Microsoft 365, Zalo group... in accordance with practical situations, save time, budget and bring high efficiency.
The Trade Union actively innovates in propaganda, education, and effective use of websites, Fanpages, and digital platforms to propagate and mobilize cadres, teachers, and workers to approach the innovation policies of the industry and the Vietnam Trade Union system; spreading examples of cadres, typical union cadres through competitions, awards, reports, articles, etc.
The Trade Union always focuses on building a team of capable and responsible trade union officials. In addition to organizing training courses on trade union skills, the Trade Union is very interested in recognizing the contributions of trade union cadres and the "Vietnam Trade Union Award 22.7-CDGD" - its own award organized by the Trade Union on the occasion of the anniversary of the founding of the Trade Union on July 22. The award aims to honor union officials working at educational institutions with many contributions, dedication, innovative and breakthrough initiatives, bringing high efficiency, and spreading influence in union activities throughout the industry.
The Trade Union has implemented many practical and effective activities during Workers' Month, focusing on key contents such as: Ensuring sustainable jobs and stable income for employees; caring for material and spiritual life, especially paying attention to cases with difficult circumstances and serious illnesses.
In recent years, the form of organizing Workers' Month has been innovated with many meaningful and appropriate activities, creating motivation and inspiration not only for staff and lecturers but also for contract workers such as drivers, department stores... at educational institutions.
Thereby, vibrant emulation movements have been formed, both spreading widely and improving quality through many typical programs, including the "Thank you to workers" program recognized and highly appreciated by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
