According to the Vietnam Education Trade Union, Khuon Tru village, Yen Nguyen commune (Tuyen Quang) was chosen to be the headquarters of the National Ministry of Education (now the Ministry of Education and Training) in the newly established period during the arduous resistance war.
Under the shade of forest trees, the canopy of bamboo and thatch painting with leaves, lessons about patriotism, self-reliance, and the will to overcome difficulties have trained generations with courage, responsibility, and a desire to be creative an indispensable foundation for todays era of global knowledge integration and competition, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc An - Chairman of the Vietnam Education Trade Union shared.
According to Mr. An, currently, the educational innovation with a focus on developing learners' qualities and abilities, innovating curriculum and teaching methods, enhancing the application of information technology, international integration... are all inspired by the proactive, flexible and creative spirit of the resistance education sector. Emphasizing education towards forming an autonomous people, adapting to change, and having the ability to solve problems is a complete continuation of the values that the Ministry of National Education once created in the old war zone.
In the current context, when the Vietnamese education industry faces the need for rapid, sustainable development and deep integration, the values of Khuon Tru have become a solid support in terms of ideology and spirit.
On this occasion, the working delegation of the Vietnam Education Trade Union presented gifts and support money to students, teachers, and people of Yen Nguyen commune, with a total value of 1.2 billion VND.
In particular, giving gifts and supporting 20 students in Yen Nguyen commune to overcome difficulties to study well, each child 1 million VND in cash and 1 gift bag; giving gifts and supporting 12 teachers in the locality to overcome difficulties to complete their tasks well, each teacher 3 million VND in cash and 1 gift bag; giving gifts and supporting textbooks, cash, water purifiers to 6 schools in the area including Yen Nguyen Kindergarten, Hoa Phu Kindergarten; Hoa Phu Primary School; Yen Nguyen Primary School; Yen Nguyen Secondary School; Hoa Phu Secondary School, High School; giving gifts to cultural houses and people in Khuon Tru village including volleyball, badminton, Pickleball racket... and sportswear.
