Greater unity and consensus, more effective work performance

Attending the conference were Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Delegation, President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu, Deputy Secretary of the Party Delegation, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Ms. Thai Thu Xuong, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Vice Presidents of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Huynh Thanh Xuan and Nguyen Xuan Hung.
At the conference, Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor announced Decision No. 211-QD/TW of the Politburo on the functions, tasks, and organizational structure of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Thai Thu Xuong presented the draft plan to reorganize the General Confederation of Labor and its affiliated units.
Speaking at the conference, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien expressed his high agreement with the plan to implement Decision 211 of the Politburo of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
Mr. Do Van Chien requested the Party Committee, the Standing Committee of the Presidium, and the Head of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to perform well in political and ideological work, creating high solidarity and consensus among Party members, civil servants, public employees, and workers in the process of implementing Decision 211 of the Politburo.
At the same time, organize the arrangement of organizations within the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor according to the approved project on organization and personnel, ensuring the Party's motto, principles, and regulations, openness, democracy, listening to opinions and satisfactorily resolving questions and concerns (if any); focus on reviewing, issuing new, amending and supplementing working regulations and related regulations to clarify work and responsibilities.
"The ultimate goal is to have greater solidarity and consensus, to perform work more effectively, faster, and better; working relationships within the agency and within the system must be better and tighter, thereby unlocking resources and promoting the intelligence of the entire Party, people, and army to enter a new era, an era of national growth," Mr. Do Van Chien emphasized.
Mr. Do Van Chien noted that, along with organizing and arranging the apparatus, during the upcoming Lunar New Year, it is necessary to assign tasks to take good care of the material and spiritual lives of union members and workers in accordance with the spirit of Directive 40-CT/TW, dated December 11, 2024 of the Secretariat.
Streamlining the apparatus must improve work quality.
President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Dinh Khang fully accepted the comprehensive and profound instructions of Mr. Do Van Chien.
The President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor said that Mr. Do Van Chien's instructions will be incorporated into the draft Plan to reorganize the apparatus of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and will be thoroughly understood during the implementation process.
President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Dinh Khang emphasized that streamlining the apparatus must improve work quality; after the reorganization, work must be smoother, more effective, with high unity between awareness and action, creating consensus throughout the system.
According to President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Dinh Khang, in the coming time, it is necessary to amend the functions and tasks of agencies and units to ensure clarity, no overlap, clear responsibilities, and convenience in operation with the principles of decentralization, delegation of authority, and assignment of responsibilities; promoting the role of the head in leading and directing the work of his unit.
Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang noted that it is necessary to implement the principle that one unit performs many tasks, but one task is only assigned to one unit to preside over and take primary responsibility.
"The arrangement and streamlining of the apparatus must improve the quality of work and arrange suitable workers for approved job positions. After the arrangement, the apparatus must operate more smoothly and effectively; prevent waste of time in the process of handling work; have high unity between awareness and action with high political determination, creating consensus throughout the system," Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang emphasized.
