Hai Phong - On the morning of September 19, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor organized the Vietnam Workers' Day, resolutely saying no to drugs.

Attending the festival were Mr. Cao Xuan Thao - Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu - Standing Vice Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour; Mr. Le Van Nghia - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour; representatives of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, Hai Phong City Labor Federation, Hai Phong City Police and thousands of trade union officials, union members, and city workers.

At the program, workers watched a report on the launch of the campaign "Vietnamese workers say no to drugs - Million hearts, a determination" by leaders of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour.

Speaking to launch the campaign, Standing Vice President of the VGCL Ngo Duy Hieu requested trade union levels to prevent drugs from before drugs reach workers. Grassroots trade unions must be present in places where workers need them most: factories, workshops, boarding houses, community activities and most importantly when a worker is in difficulty, lonely, lost direction and most easily attracted.

The Standing Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour requested trade union levels to help workers know for prevention; create an environment for workers to live healthily, happily, and actively; not abandon wrongdoers. Each union member and worker is a propagandist; each trade union group will become a preventive point; each grassroots trade union will become a "shield" to protect workers from the danger of drugs.

The festival was also lively with a series of art performances, legal propaganda skits and exchange activities, spreading the message of drug prevention and control among workers. Representatives of businesses and grassroots trade unions also signed commitments to respond to the drug prevention and control campaign, building a safe and civilized working environment.

In addition, workers coming to the festival also experience the "Trade Union Welfare - Accompanying Workers" space with 50 booths, including "0 VND" booths, discounted and preferential booths, booths of accompanying businesses and essential service consulting booths, directly serving union members and workers.

On this occasion, the City Labor Federation also organized a free eye exam program, voluntary blood donation, attracting nearly 2,000 participants.

Previously, on September 18, the VGCL and the Hai Phong City Labor Federation visited and presented gifts to trainees at drug rehabilitation center No. 2 (Quyet Thang commune); organized a communication program, art exchange, and launched the Campaign "Vietnamese Workers Say No to Drugs - Million Hearts, a Determination".
