According to the Vietnam Education Trade Union (VTC), the VTC currently directly manages 73 units, including 4 national university and regional university trade unions and 69 grassroots trade unions (CDCS) with a total of 41,935 union members, teachers and workers (CBNGNLD).
In the 2023-2025 period, the Vietnam Education Trade Union will implement the full-term work program "Innovation of care and protection work associated with the needs and conditions of teachers and workers in the education sector", the Resolution "Supporting education in disadvantaged areas" to build public housing, supporting and helping employees in disadvantaged areas to have active responses from trade unions at all levels; proactively connecting and calling on businesses, alumni... to participate in supporting education in mountainous areas, remote areas, overcoming natural disasters and floods. At the same time, mobilized support to build 6 clean water projects in Sin Ho (Lai Chau) worth 300 million VND; supported the construction of a teacher's official residence at Hien Da High School, Cam Khe Commune, Phu Tho Province with a budget of 1.2 billion VND.
In particular, in 2024, the Vietnam Education Trade Union coordinated with the Ministry of Education and Training to mobilize over 21 billion VND to support teachers, students and schools in provinces affected by storm No. 3 (Yagi). In 2025, supporting educational institutions, teachers and students who were severely affected by storm No. 3 (Wipha), storm No. 10 (Bualoi), storm No. 11 ( Matmo), storm No. 13 with a budget of over 7.3 billion VND.
The Vietnam Education Trade Union organized 6 "Tet Sum Vay" programs with over 2.4 billion VND; presented 2,375 Tet gifts to employees; 736 Tet gifts to students; programs and activities were organized effectively and practically, spreading strongly to units and schools in the whole industry. During the Lunar New Year, the company took care of Tet and gave gifts to 4,352 employees in difficult circumstances and suffering from serious illnesses, reaching 4.3 billion VND.
At the same time, direct trade unions at all levels to coordinate with the professional sector to mobilize resources to encourage and care for teachers, especially on the occasion of the anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day on November 20, contributing to fostering good traditional values. In addition, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor has effectively implemented the welfare agreements signed by union members, and continued to sign cooperation agreements with 9 units and enterprises, providing quality products and services at preferential prices, creating welfare for employees, implementing the Resolution on "Quality of shift meals for employees" in the two enterprises and some non-public units to ensure safety and suitability...
