The whole province currently has more than 116,000 union members/more than 124,300 workers and employees in agencies, units, and enterprises with trade union organizations, including 785 grassroots trade unions and professional unions. It has organized the transfer of 226 grassroots trade unions and professional unions with more than 18,000 union members (including Rach Gia Ward Trade Union 115 grassroots trade unions, with more than 7,300 union members; Phu Quoc Special Zone Trade Union 111 grassroots trade unions, with nearly 11,000 union members) to monitor and manage.
An Giang Trade Union has strengthened grasping the thoughts, aspirations, and employment situation of union members and workers (NLĐ); mobilizing them to actively participate with levels, sectors, agencies, units, and businesses to well perform political tasks and production and business.

Social activities, care for welfare, and support for union members and workers, especially union members and workers in difficult circumstances in life, who have suffered from labor accidents and occupational diseases, are maintained by trade union levels...
In 2025, over 12,800 turns of union members and workers were directly visited and given gifts by grassroots-level trade unions, with an amount of over 6.8 billion VND. Continuing to mobilize union members to contribute to the "Trade Union Society" fund. 220 "Trade Union Home" houses have been supported, built, and repaired for union members in difficult housing circumstances, with a total amount of over 26.5 billion VND. Rotation capital contributions without interest, credit guarantees for bank loans, and charity kitchen activities are concerned and maintained by Party committees, authorities, and Trade Unions with more than 44,000 turns of union members borrowing and participating with an amount of over 20.6 billion VND...
Organize practical and widespread patriotic emulation movements to celebrate Party Congresses at all levels, towards the 14th National Congress of the Party, promptly commend and reward collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in work, labor, production and building strong Trade Union organizations.
Consolidate the organizational structure, personnel, and improve operational efficiency
Chairman of An Giang Provincial Labor Federation Do Tran Thinh said that, implementing the Central Government and the province's policies on streamlining the organizational structure, operating effectively and efficiently, An Giang Provincial Labor Federation has seriously implemented the merger and consolidation of professional departments and the system of directly superior grassroots Trade Unions in accordance with the roadmap, principles and regulations. The arrangement process is carried out cautiously, publicly, democratically, ensuring ideological stability in the team of Trade Union officials, without interrupting the activities of caring for, representing, and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers.
After the merger, the organizational structure of the Provincial Labor Federation has been streamlined, reducing intermediate focal points, the functions and tasks of each department have been reviewed and clearly defined, avoiding overlap. The work of arranging and arranging cadres is carried out based on capacity, strengths, qualities and task requirements. At the same time, pay attention to training and fostering cadres to quickly adapt to the new organizational model. After the merger, the organizational structure has basically gone into stable operation, promoting proactiveness, flexibility, spirit of responsibility and synchronous coordination throughout the system.
Mr. Thinh said that, based on the new context and increasingly high task requirements, the An Giang Provincial Labor Federation clearly defines the overarching goal of continuing to strongly innovate the content and methods of Trade Union activities, taking union members and workers as the center, and taking practical efficiency as a measure.
The Provincial Labor Federation focuses on performing well the function of representing and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of workers; proactively participating in building harmonious, stable, and progressive labor relations; strengthening dialogue and collective bargaining, improving the quality of collective labor agreements. In parallel, continue to promote activities to care for the material and spiritual life of union members, especially workers in industrial parks and non-state sectors, with practical programs such as "Tet Sum vay", "Workers' Month", "Trade Union Shelter".
In addition, the Provincial Labor Federation focuses on propaganda, education, and raising political and legal awareness for union members and workers; strongly applying information technology and digital transformation in management, administration and trade union communication. The work of building strong trade union organizations, developing union members, and establishing grassroots trade unions continues to be considered a key task, associated with improving the quality of trade union officials at all levels.
