In the afternoon of February 16 (December 29th of the lunar calendar), An Giang Provincial Labor Federation organized delegations to visit, encourage, and give Tet gifts to union members and workers (NLĐ) in difficult circumstances who work in environmental sanitation; union members and medical staff working on New Year's Eve during the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026.

According to Chairman of An Giang Provincial Labor Federation Do Tran Thinh, visiting, encouraging, and giving gifts to union members and workers in difficult circumstances working in the field of environmental sanitation and the field of health on duty on New Year's Eve is a very meaningful activity. In the moment of New Year's transition, when everyone gathers with their families, these union members and workers are still diligently working. They may be the ones who clean up the streets to make them clean and beautiful for everyone to enjoy spring, while doctors and nurses are stretched out in emergency shifts. Above all, it is the spirit of responsibility for the work, they are very worthy of attention, sharing, and encouragement.

Mr. Danh Cuong, a worker sweeping and collecting garbage at Kien Giang Urban Development Joint Stock Company, said: "On New Year's Eve, everyone is eager to go home early to worship and gather with their families. Our task is to complete it cleanly and beautifully so that the streets are neat and Tet must be clean and beautiful. Thank you very much to the Trade Union for coming to our workplace to give gifts, inquire, and encourage us, we feel very happy and touched.

In this phase, the Labor Federation awarded a total of 498 gifts (1 million VND each). 3 working groups divided up to go to grassroots Trade Unions including: Kien Giang General Hospital, CIC Group, An Giang General Hospital, An Giang Urban Environment Joint Stock Company, Phu Quoc Urban Works Management Board, Phu Quoc Medical Center to directly give gifts to union members and workers.

This visit and gift giving on the last day of the year also shows the concern of the Trade Union organization for union members and workers who are on duty on New Year's Eve. Thereby encouraging morale and sharing difficulties when they do not have the conditions to reunite with their families in the moment of New Year's transition.
