On November 19, the Ha Tinh Provincial Federation of Labor (LDLD) in coordination with the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor organized a training course to raise awareness of environmental protection and occupational safety and hygiene (OSH) for 120 grassroots union officials. Attending and directing was Mr. Nguyen The Hoan - Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor.
In his opening speech, Mr. Ngo Dinh Van - Vice President of the Provincial Federation of Labor emphasized that environmental protection and occupational safety and health are key tasks, directly linked to the health, productivity and quality of life of workers. The training course aims to update new knowledge, improve propaganda and supervision skills for grassroots union officials.

In the program, Dr. Nguyen Thi Van Anh - School for Training and Training for Natural Resources and Environment Officials introduced the main contents of the Law on Environmental Protection 2020, regulating environmental licensing, environmental impact assessment and waste management. The lecturer analyzed new points of the law and emphasized the supervisory role of trade unions in environmental protection.

In the second topic, MSc. Do Viet Duc - Labor Relations Department, Vietnam General Confederation of Labor presented on occupational safety and health skills, the responsibility of the occupational safety and hygiene network, methods to identify, prevent risks and impacts of environmental pollution on workers' health. The lecturer proposed specific solutions that union officials can implement at the unit.

At the end of the class, the Organizing Committee awarded certificates to students and highly appreciated the serious participation of the grassroots staff. The training course contributes to improving capacity, meeting increasingly high requirements in environmental protection and ensuring occupational safety and health in Ha Tinh province.
