During the past term, the Vinh Long General Hospital Trade Union has achieved outstanding achievements, excellently completing 10/10 targets of the Congress Resolution, affirming its pioneering role in emulation movements. The work of caring for the material and spiritual lives of union members received special attention, becoming a highlight of the term.
Accordingly, the unit has organized many activities such as "Tet Sum Vay", art, sports, visits, and support for union members in difficult circumstances with a total budget of 1.655 billion VND. In addition, the union also mobilizes cadres, civil servants, and workers (CBVC-NLD) to contribute social funds, gratitude funds, etc. with a total amount of over 998 million VND, demonstrating the spirit of mutual love, "the healthy leaves cover the torn leaves", showing gratitude to people with meritorious services and contributing to the implementation of the province's social security policy.
Emulation movements have also been launched enthusiastically, creating a positive effect. Typically, the movement "Good at public affairs, good at housework" associated with building a prosperous, progressive, and happy family has had 897 female union members achieve this noble title.
The Trade Union has continuously grown, developing 245 more union members, bringing the total to 974 people. The work of Party building was focused on, with the successful introduction of 54 outstanding union members for the Party to consider admission, exceeding 154.28% of the set target, contributing positively to improving the Party's leadership capacity in the unit.
With the motto "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Innovation - Development", the Congress set out goals, expenditures and key tasks and solutions for the 2025 - 2030 term. In particular, promoting the role of the Trade Union organization in protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers; innovating content, forms and organizing emulation movements in the direction of effective, focused, key, etc.
Speaking at the Congress, Ms. Nguyen Thi Bien - Standing Member of the Vinh Long Provincial Federation of Labor - acknowledged and commended the efforts of the Executive Committee and the collective of union members and workers of the hospital in the past term.
Entering the new term, the requirements for trade union organization and operation are increasingly high.
