On the morning of August 25, at the An Giang Provincial Labor Culture House, Long Xuyen Ward, the An Giang Provincial Labor Federation (LDLD) held a training conference on Trade Union work in 2025. This is the first training course on trade union work after the merger of the new An Giang province. Mr. Nguyen Nhat Tien - Vice Chairman of the Labor Federation, Head of the An Giang Provincial Trade Union Work Committee - attended.
Also attending were more than 300 delegates who are Chairmen (or Vice Chairmen) and accountants of grassroots trade unions, trade unions with 50 or more union members; Vice Chairmen of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and Chairmen of Trade Unions of wards in the old An Giang province.
In his opening speech, Mr. Nguyen Nhat Tien said that this training not only equips knowledge, skills, and methods for performing tasks for Trade Union officials, contributing to building a team of qualified trade union officials with practical and operational capacity to meet the requirements of the workers, civil servants, laborers and trade union activities in the new situation, but is also an open forum for listening, exchanging, and sharing to promptly remove and resolve existing bottlenecks in Trade Union activities after the merger and consolidation of the new An Giang province, implementing local government at 2 levels.
In that spirit, during one working day, the Conference presented to delegates 4 key contents: First, the situation of trade union activities in the province since the merger and consolidation of the two provinces of An Giang and Kien Giang; Second, implementing directives and guidance documents of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the Provincial Federation of Labor on the organization and financial work of trade unions; Third, answering difficulties and problems of grassroots trade unions; Fourth, thoroughly grasping and directing a number of contents that need to focus on implementing key tasks in the last 6 months of 2025.
Accordingly, in addition to providing the situation of Trade Union activities after the merger, directives and instructions... The Organizing Committee spent a lot of time for delegates to present the problems and shortcomings of the locality and unit for the Organizing Committee to record and answer... as a basis for applying to resolve difficulties and problems in Trade Union activities, promote proactiveness and creativity in practice, meet the requirements of building and developing the Trade Union organization in the process of integration and development.
