On August 18, Ms. Tran Thi Thanh Huong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of An Giang province led a working delegation of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of An Giang province and organizations to the special national monument of President Ton Duc Thang Memorial Site (My Hoa Hung commune, An Giang province) to offer incense to celebrate the 137th anniversary of People's birthday (August 20, 88 - August 20, 2025).
Accompanying the delegation were Mr. Le Thanh Viet - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and representatives of mass organizations.
On the side of the An Giang Provincial Labor Federation, there was Mr. Nguyen Nhat Tien - Vice Chairman, Head of the Trade Union Committee.
At the President Ton Duc Thang Temple, on behalf of the working delegation, Ms. Tran Thi Thanh Huong respectfully offered incense at the altar of Uncle Ho - the outstanding son of An Giang, the great leader of the Vietnamese revolution. After that, the members took turns offering incense with all their respect and gratitude before visiting and learning about Uncle Ton's life and revolutionary career. The delegation also offered incense on Uncle Ton's body at the relic of the Youth House of the Man located in the relic site.
On this occasion, the working group coordinated with My Hoa Hung commune to present 20 gifts to poor, near-poor households, and households in difficult circumstances in the locality. On behalf of the working delegation, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of An Giang province, Ms. Tran Thi Thanh Huong, expressed her delight at the development journey in all fields in the homeland of President Ton Duc Thang.
Affirming that this is a special locality that still maintains the current status of area and population in the process of merging administrative boundaries, the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee suggested that the Party, State and people of My Hoa Hung commune should continue to strive, make efforts to be creative in management and operation to promote the local development journey to new heights, push difficulties behind, and bring the whole commune to a prosperous and happy life.
According to Ms. Huong, during his lifetime, President Ho Chi Minh once praised Uncle Ton as "a very excellent son of the Fatherland, a national revolutionary soldier and a world revolutionary soldier...". This is not only a common pride for the homeland of My Hoa Hung, but also a positive motivation for the Party, Government and people of Uncle Ho's hometown to boldly enter the new front, bringing the economy, society, security and defense of My Hoa Hung commune to increasingly develop and prosper.
