On February 8th, the Vinh Long Provincial Labor Federation organized the Tet reunion - Spring of Gratitude to the Party program at Con Phung tourist area (Phu Tuc commune, Vinh Long province), attracting 700 workers and laborers to participate. Attending the program were Ms. Thai Thu Xuong - Standing Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, along with the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, provincial departments and branches and representatives of businesses in the area.
Mr. Le Cong Toan, a worker at My Phong Leather Shoe Co., Ltd. (Tap Ngai commune) said that the program is very practical for workers. "Not only receiving Tet gifts, we also participate in many fun games, creating a comfortable and exciting atmosphere. This is a great encouragement for workers to feel secure in working and attached to the business," Mr. Toan shared.
Sharing the same feeling, Ms. Vo Kim Mai, a worker at Ty Xuan Co., Ltd., said that this year being able to come to the tourist area to play and participate in a meaningful program like this is very fun. "The space is close, friendly, everyone is open, creating a feeling like a big reunion for workers," Ms. Mai said.

According to Mr. Nguyen Phuc Linh - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Provincial Party Committee Member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Chairman of Vinh Long Provincial Labor Federation - this Tet holiday, trade union levels in the province have mobilized many resources to care for union members and workers, with nearly 12,000 gifts, total budget of about 7.5 billion VND, prioritizing cases with difficult circumstances.
Specifically at the Tet reunion - Spring of Gratitude to the Party program, the Organizing Committee presented 700 gifts to workers and laborers. Among them, union members from poor households were supported with 2 million VND in cash and a gift bag of necessities; union members with critical illnesses were supported with 1 million VND in cash and a gift bag; union members and workers in difficult circumstances received 500,000 VND in cash and a gift bag.

Attending the program, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Nhung - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee - highly appreciated the efforts of the Trade Union organization in caring for the material and spiritual life of workers.
She affirmed that Tet reunion - Spring of Gratitude to the Party is an activity rich in humanistic meaning, showing the concern of the Party, State and socio-political organizations for the working class, contributing to spreading the spirit of sharing and solidarity every Tet and Spring.
In the coming time, Trade Union levels need to continue to innovate the content and methods of operation, strongly focusing on grassroots levels, closely following the actual needs of union members and workers. Thereby, improving the effectiveness of caring for and promptly protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of workers, contributing to consolidating trust and increasing the connection between workers and the Trade Union organization and businesses," Ms. Nhung added.
