Information from the Labor Federation on August 26 said that the working delegation led by Mr. Tran Le Duy - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (VFF) of Tay Ninh province, Chairman of the Labor Federation (LDLD) of Tay Ninh province, visited and encouraged the family of Ms. Phan Thi Tram My (Muong Chai hamlet, Can Giuoc commune), a worker at FuLuh Shoes Company Limited, whose house was on fire.
At the visit, the delegation presented a support gift worth 3 million VND in cash, to share the immediate difficulties with Ms. My's family. In addition, the grassroots Trade Union and the warehouse department of FuLuh Shoes Company Limited also supported an additional 11 million VND along with many essential necessities.
Previously, at around 4:00 p.m. on August 22, Ms. My's house suddenly caught fire. It was not until 5:00 p.m. that the fire was controlled, but many items in the house such as the roof, walls, glass doors and household items were burned down. According to Ms. My, the incident was likely caused by an electrical short circuit from the bedroom, while the family was away from home, so it was not possible to handle it.
Ms. My's family has 4 members. She is currently on maternity leave, her husband is a freelancer, her eldest daughter is in 7th grade and her 5-month-old child. The fire has made the family even more struggling.
The timely attention and support of the Trade Union and local authorities contributed to helping Ms. My's family overcome the difficult period and soon stabilize their lives.
