On the morning of January 14, a delegation of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation led by Mr. Vo Khac Thai - Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation - visited, wished a happy new year and gave gifts to the collective of workers working at Urban Railway Company No. 1, the unit operating Metro Line No. 1 of Ho Chi Minh City.
Ms. Vu Minh Huyen - Deputy Head of the Urban Railway Management Board - said that since the official commercial operation (December 22, 2024) up to now, there have been more than 2 million passengers traveling on Metro Line 1 trains, the number of trains exceeded the target, including many passengers who used Metro Line 1 as a means of transportation to work and school every day.
Mr. Vo Khac Thai shared and encouraged the collective of employees of Urban Railway Company No. 1 to operate a new public transport method, ensuring safety and convenience for millions of passengers and contributing to modernization and reducing traffic density in Ho Chi Minh City.
On this occasion, the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation presented 20 gifts, each worth 1 million VND, to the company's employees.
On the same day, the delegation of the Ho Chi Minh City Federation of Labor visited, wished a happy New Year, and presented gifts to medical staff at Trung Vuong Hospital, Binh Tien Consumer Goods Production Company Limited, and Chan Thuan Thanh Plastic & Mechanical Company Limited. At each unit, the delegation presented gifts worth 1 million VND to workers in difficult circumstances.
The delegation also visited and gave gifts (worth 5 million VND and 1 Tet gift) to the family of a worker in difficult circumstances, Nguyen Kim Ngoc Thuy, living in District 6, Ho Chi Minh City.
Previously, the Ho Chi Minh City Civil Servants' Union also presented 500 gifts to the workers of Urban Railway Company No. 1.
