Founded in 2012 according to the Conclusion of the Central Party Secretariat, Workers' Month has been implemented for 13 years with continuous innovation and has become a symbol of practical care and honor for workers.
For example, the month of workers in 2024 with the theme "Solidarity of workers - Deploying the Resolution" has spread among the levels of college, affirming the pioneering and creative role of the working class and Vietnamese employees. In particular, the forum "Improving the national labor productivity in 2024" was chaired by the Prime Minister with the participation of representatives of a number of ministries, branches, agencies of the National Assembly, the Government and 450 union members and employees representing more than 11 million union members, exchanging and discussing the status of labor productivity, causes, bottlenecks and proposing and recommending solutions to promote labor productivity.
According to the incomplete report, nearly 38,000 trade unions coordinated with employers to organize response activities (reaching 140% of the target); organized more than 16,000 "Bringing Resolution to Life" programs with nearly 1.8 million union members and employees participating; more than 12,000 "Health for Workers to Production" programs with more than 1 million union members and employees participating; organized more than 60,000 cultural and sports activities, attracting more than 2 million union members and employees; more than 2,700 activities to thank members, praising more than 33,000 employees with outstanding achievements in labor and production.

Preparing the mindset for Vietnamese workers to enter a new era
With the theme of the month of workers: "Vietnamese workers are pioneering in the new era" and the month of action on OSH: "Strengthen assessment, risk recognition, risk and proactively implement measures to ensure occupational safety and hygiene at work" - once again affirm the role and responsibility of the entire political system in ensuring safety and health; Taking care of building a working class as well as continuing to cast the desire to rise up of Vietnamese workers in the new era.
The set target is to strive for 55% or more of grassroots trade unions in enterprises with at least 01 activity in response to Workers' Month in 2025; have 35% or more of grassroots trade unions of administrative agencies and public service units with at least 01 activity in response to Workers' Month in 2025. There are 6 key programs and activities including: "Creative workers, firmly entering the new era"; "May Dialogue"; "Thank you to workers"; Organizing the Peak Month for developing union members, establishing grassroots unions; introducing the development of workers' party members; "Propaganda, raising awareness of union members and workers"...
The goal of the activities of the working month in 2025 is to affirm the role, position and contribution of the working class in the cause of national liberation, building and defending the Fatherland; is the pioneer in the cause of the country's renewal, confidently entering the new era - the era of the nation. Promote workers to actively study, improve their qualifications, skills, career conversion, access to modern labor trends, adapt to the context of the 4th international integration and industrial revolution, prepare the mind for the new development stage of the country ...
One of the most anticipated activities in Workers' Month 2025 is "Creative Labor Festival" with competitions to propose ideas, initiatives, and technical solutions to innovate production processes; save raw materials, fuel, time, labor, etc.
"Creative Labor Festival" also aims to raise awareness among union members and employees so that creative labor becomes a regular job for each individual, becoming a widespread movement in every agency, unit, and enterprise in all economic sectors.
Up to now, many local Labor Federations and Trade Unions at the grassroots level and Trade Unions have launched Workers' Month with many practical activities for workers.
In particular, the Hanoi City Labor Federation coordinated with the City People's Committee to launch Workers' Month and Labor Safety and Hygiene Month with the participation of a large number of cadres, union members and workers.
Here, in addition to the activities of giving support to union members and workers in difficult circumstances who have had work accidents or occupational diseases; giving gifts to children of workers in difficult circumstances, the City Labor Federation also organized health check-ups and early cancer screening for 200 union members.
As one of the industry unions launching Workers' Month and Action Month on occupational safety and health early, the Vietnam Oil and Gas Trade Union has created an emulation atmosphere in caring for union members, employees and competing for safe production labor. The units also signed a commitment to implement the 2025 governance plan and the 2025 " petition for Innovation in Oil and Gas" emulation program.
