On October 9, a representative of the Tay Ninh Industrial Park Trade Union Board said that the unit had just held a congress to establish grassroots trade unions (CDCS) at two enterprises: Xupai Power Vietnam Co., Ltd. and Xinao Textiles Co., Ltd. (Vietnam), located in Thanh Thanh Cong Industrial Park, Trang Bang Ward, Tay Ninh Province.
Xupai Power Vietnam Co., Ltd. operates in the field of battery manufacturing and trading, with 91 workers who have voluntarily written applications to join the trade union organization. At the congress, delegates elected Ms. Dao Thi Bich Ngoc - Assistant Director of the company - to hold the position of Chairwoman of the grassroots trade union for the first term.
Representative of the superior trade union leadership, Mr. Nguyen Trong Danh - Deputy Head of the Provincial Industrial Park Trade Union - attended and gave a congratulatory speech. Mr. Danh emphasized that the establishment of a grassroots trade union at Xupai Power is an important milestone, helping workers have a legal representative organization, contributing to building harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations in enterprises.
Xinao Textiles Co., Ltd. (Vietnam) is a textile and garment business enterprise, with 214 workers applying to join the union. The founding congress elected Ms. Le Thi Thuy Dung - an interpreter - as the Chairwoman of the grassroots union.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Trong Danh highly appreciated the spirit of solidarity of the collective of workers and pledged to continue to accompany and support grassroots trade unions in performing well their functions of representation, caring for and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers.
The establishment of two new grassroots trade unions not only contributes to expanding the network of trade union organizations in Tay Ninh province but also demonstrates the determination of the Provincial Federation of Labor in developing union members and building a strong organization in the foreign-invested enterprise sector.
The new grassroots trade unions are expected to become an important bridge between workers and enterprises, promoting the emulation movement of good workers, creative workers, actively contributing to the sustainable development of enterprises and Tay Ninh province.
