Attending the program were Mr. Ho Hong Minh - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of Di An Ward People's Council (HCMC); Mr. Doan Nam Le Thien - Chairman of the Ward Trade Union, along with representatives of related units and union members.
At the program, the Organizing Committee announced the decision to establish 4 grassroots trade unions (CĐCS), including: CĐCS Dong Chi Automobile Repair Co., Ltd., CĐCS Thanh Phong Group Joint Stock Company, CĐCS Ket Noi Xanh Investment and Development Co., Ltd. and CĐCS Volcano International Dental Co., Ltd.
Also at the program, the Organizing Committee announced the decision to establish the No. 1 Lottery Ticket Union of Di An ward. The union was established with 63 members.
The establishment of new grassroots trade unions and professional unions contributes to expanding the network of gathering workers, caring for and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers. Thereby, building an increasingly strong Trade Union organization.
On this occasion, the Organizing Committee presented 10 health insurance cards to members of Ticket Union No. 1 from the support of Di An Social Insurance Branch; Ward Trade Union and accompanying units also presented gifts to encourage union members.
According to Di An Ward Trade Union, to date, Di An ward has 189 grassroots trade unions and professional unions with 14,417 union members out of a total of 15,434 workers. In which, the administrative, non-business and education sector has 16 grassroots trade unions; private schools have 11 grassroots trade unions; non-state enterprises have 159 grassroots trade unions and 3 professional unions.
