On July 9, the Trade Union of Thu Dau Mot Ward (HCMC) held a launching ceremony and awarded decisions to establish grassroots trade unions at enterprises in the ward.
At the ceremony, the Organizing Committee announced the decisions of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation on recognizing grassroots trade unions and interim Trade Union Executive Committees at 6 enterprises, including: Practical English Education Co., Ltd.; 10X English Co., Ltd.; Rokon Ply Representative Office LTD in Ho Chi Minh City; Kim Long Garment Investment Co., Ltd.; Food Village One Member Co., Ltd. and Fuji Paper Trading Production Co., Ltd.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoang Tien - Chairwoman of Thu Dau Mot Ward Trade Union said that the establishment of new grassroots trade unions is the result of propaganda and mobilization to develop trade union organizations in enterprises, and continue to expand the trade union network in the ward.
This is an important foundation to improve the effectiveness of caring for, representing and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of workers, while building harmonious, stable, and progressive labor relations in enterprises" - Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoang Tien said.
According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoang Tien, through this activity, Thu Dau Mot Ward Trade Union continues to affirm its role as a bridge between workers and businesses, improve the quality of Trade Union activities, attract more and more workers to participate in Trade Union organizations, and create motivation to promote sustainable production and business development.
