At the conference, the Hai Phong City Labor Federation announced decisions on the establishment of 9 grassroots trade unions including the Trade Union of the An Bien Ward Construction Investment Project Management Board, Hung Thinh Fire Prevention and Fighting Trading Joint Stock Company, Quynh Anh Trading and Service Development Investment Co., Ltd., HAOYU Packaging Co., Ltd., VN-AUS Accounting and Tax Agency Co., Ltd., Hai Phong Road Construction Joint Stock Company, CM Investment Joint Stock Company, Linh Ngoc Transport Joint Stock Company and Hoang Tin Co., Ltd. At the same time, 9 units were admitted to Vietnam Trade Union members.
Speaking to assign tasks, Mr. Nguyen Van Phiet - Vice Chairman of Hai Phong City Labor Federation - proposed that, in the new position, the Executive Committee of the grassroots Trade Union will be an important bridge between workers and businesses and trade union organizations; and at the same time be the core force in caring for and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers. At the same time, assign An Bien Ward Trade Union to guide newly established units to quickly complete regulations, develop operating programs, take good care of union members and workers, and build harmonious and stable labor relations at units and businesses.
It is known that An Bien Ward Trade Union currently manages 79 grassroots trade unions with 4,199 union members. In the first 6 months of 2026, the Ward Trade Union mobilized to establish 10 new grassroots trade unions, reaching 250% of the assigned target, admitting 205 new trade union members, reaching 51% of the annual target; the actual number of union members increased to 281 people. In Workers' Month 2026 alone, the Ward Trade Union established 6 new grassroots trade unions with 139 union members.
The Ward Trade Union proactively coordinates with relevant agencies and units, participates in inspection and supervision teams of the ward to conduct surveys, grasp the business situation, guide procedures, and support dossiers for establishing grassroots trade unions and admitting union members. Through this, 36 units, businesses, and production facilities in the area have been reviewed to organize propaganda and mobilization, contributing to expanding the scope of gathering workers and building an increasingly strong trade union organization.
The achieved results have contributed to enhancing the position and prestige of the trade union organization, consolidating the trust of union members and workers in the Vietnam Trade Union organization; and at the same time creating an important foundation for the successful implementation of the Program on developing union members and establishing grassroots trade unions in the period 2026 - 2030 in An Bien ward.
