On June 24, the Provincial People's Committee held a regular meeting in June to assess the socio-economic development situation in the first 6 months of the year and deploy tasks and solutions for the last 6 months of the year.
In the first 6 months of 2026, the province's socio-economy continued to maintain positive growth momentum in the context of many difficulties and challenges. Levels and sectors focused on removing obstacles for businesses, promoting disbursement of public investment capital, improving the business investment environment and promoting digital transformation.
Gross regional domestic product (GRDP) is estimated at 142,736 billion VND, an increase of 10.5% compared to the same period in 2025, exceeding the set scenario. In which, the agriculture, forestry and fishery sector increased by 2.82%; industry and construction increased by 13.588%; services increased by 9.16%. Total production value of the whole province reached about 415,876 billion VND, an increase of 12.3%.
Industry - construction continues to be the main driving force for growth with production value reaching VND 314,729 billion, up 14.3%. Industrial production value reached VND 267,874 billion, up 14.5%; industrial production index increased by 15.15%. In 6 months, the province established 2 new industrial parks and 2 industrial clusters, and adjusted 16 existing industrial clusters.

In the first 6 months of the year, the province attracted 175 new investment projects and 103 turns of adjusted capital increase projects. Total newly registered and additional capital reached approximately VND 48,700 billion and USD 858.1 million. The whole province has 2,870 newly established enterprises, an increase of 20.7% over the same period. Total social investment capital reached VND 75,636 billion, an increase of 19.9%.
At the meeting to assess the socio-economic situation in the first 6 months of the year, delegates focused on discussing shortcomings such as slow disbursement of public investment capital, some projects facing site clearance problems, and difficulties in handling surplus public assets after administrative unit arrangement.
Concluding the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Manh Quyen requested departments, branches, and localities to focus on reviewing targets, accelerating the progress of key projects, improving the efficiency of disbursement of public investment capital, removing difficulties for businesses and striving to complete socio-economic development goals in 2026.
