Following the instructions of the Yen Bai Provincial Federation of Labor on the steps to establish and operate grassroots unions in the informal sector in the area, the Van Chan District Federation of Labor mobilized and organized the Congress to establish the Son Thinh Market Grassroots Union.
The Congress approved the report on the results of the campaign and mobilization process, established the Campaign Committee; announced the decisions on admitting union members, the decision to establish grassroots unions, appoint the Executive Committee, approved the operating regulations of the Executive Committee, the direction of activities of the grassroots union; presented gifts to 16 union members in difficult circumstances.
This is the first informal regional grassroots union established in Van Chan district with the goal of expanding gathering and uniting workers to actively contribute to union activities and local political tasks.
