This is the first fishing union of Ha Long city. Ha Phong fishing village is one of the oldest fishing villages located right on the shore of Ha Long Bay.
Over the years, the Ha Long City Labor Federation has focused on gathering and developing union members in many fields and professions.
In order to care for and protect the legitimate rights and interests of fishermen when disputes and violations occur at sea, or when unfortunate incidents, risks, and accidents occur, and at the same time create a place for fishermen to live and connect, for fishermen to exchange and share experiences in fishing and exploiting seafood; comply with the policies, laws, and guidelines of the State..., the City Labor Federation has actively promoted and mobilized fishermen and fishing workers to join the Vietnam Trade Union and establish a fishing union.
As a result, up to now, 131/300 households with 81 fishing boats have voluntarily signed an application to join the Vietnam Trade Union and the Steering Committee for the establishment of a grassroots fishing union.
At the conference, the Ha Long City Labor Federation organized the announcement of the decision to admit union members, pin badges on union members; announced the decision to establish the union and announced the decision to recognize the Union Executive Committee.
