That is the sharing of Mr. Nguyen Dac Giang - worker of ENKEI Company Limited.
Originally from Nam Dan, Nghe An, Mr. Nguyen Dac Giang has been working as a factory worker in Hanoi for 16 years. His wife is also a factory worker. They have 3 children, one is 7 years old, one is 4 years old and one is only 12 months old. The Lunar New Year of At Ty 2025 is the second year that Mr. Giang's family has been able to take a free bus from the Union to return to their hometown to celebrate Tet with their grandparents on both sides.
Mr. Giang said that if he took a private car, he would have to pay about 1.3 - 1.5 million VND. That's not including having to go out to catch a bus. Unfortunately, if the bus picks up many passengers along the way, it will be very difficult for the children. But taking the Union bus is both safe and secure, and importantly, on the last days of work, he doesn't have to worry about calling everywhere to book a bus ticket. Early in the morning of the 26th of the 12th lunar month, Giap Thin, he got on the bus and arrived at his hometown at 2:30 p.m.
When they got home, the grandparents had finished wrapping banh chung. Grandparents, children and grandchildren met each other in joy, satisfying their longing. Witnessing that reunion, Mr. Giang could not hide his emotions. Once again, Mr. Giang expressed his gratitude to the Trade Union for regularly caring for union members and workers far from home, especially during Tet. Mr. Giang said that, in response to that concern, he felt more responsible for the Company, even though he had previously tried hard to complete his tasks well.
With that responsibility, on the 5th day of the Lunar New Year, Mr. Giang will get on the bus back to Hanoi to go to work the next day according to the Company's plan at the beginning of the year. Moreover, he said he will actively respond and participate in activities organized by the Union and become an exemplary union member.
Also from Nghe An with Mr. Giang, Ms. Pham Thi Binh - a worker at Tokyo Micro Vietnam Co., Ltd. said that the Union bus brought her husband, wife and children back to their hometown safely. With gratitude to the Union, her family from Dien Chau will return to Hanoi on the 5th day of Tet to ensure that they can go to work at the Company according to regulations after the Tet holiday.
Mr. Nguyen Dinh Thang - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Chairman of the Trade Union of Industrial and Export Processing Zones said that on February 2, 2025, the 5th day of the Lunar New Year, 7 buses will be organized to pick up union members and workers with especially difficult circumstances from their hometowns to work after the Tet holiday.
