On April 1, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL) held a conference to award decisions on pension benefits to comrades on leave under Decree No. 178/2024/ND-CP.
At the ceremony, comrade Phi Thu Huong - Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor - announced the decision for 6 comrades to retire early according to Decree 178/2024/ND-CP of the Government.
Speaking at the conference, Comrade Thai Thu Xuong - Permanent Vice President, Head of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor - welcomed the volunteer spirit and respectfully thanked the 6 comrades for their contributions to the trade union organization after many years of association.
The Standing Vice President said that among the 6 comrades receiving the retirement decision, the comrade with the longest working period is 37 years, at least 29 years; some have been with the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor for 30 years.
According to the Standing Vice President, each comrade has a different position but through his work, he has completed his tasks well, and has been recognized by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor with various forms of commendation.
Comrade Thai Thu Xuong hopes that in the coming time, you will continue to pay attention to following union activities and contribute opinions for the union organization to develop strongly.

Comrade Thai Thu Xuong shared that after retirement, they have the opportunity to rest after a long period of work; at the same time, giving opportunities to some young staff at the agency.
Previously, at the end of February 2025, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor held a conference to award decisions on pension benefits to 10 comrades on leave under Decree 178/2024/ND-CP of the Government.
